Mobile Home Homemaking video! Welcome to my homemaking motivation video where I take you along with me as I work on my Tiny Kitchen and Tiny Living Room! My old trailer is 455 square feet. To get my mobile home in better condition I had to do a renovation and makeover. My small mobile home may not be big but it feels larger because of how I set it up! This video is different from what I usually make like food pantry hauls but I do hope you enjoy it! I also have some frugal living tips in this video as I show you what life is like living in a small space. I hope you enjoy this day in the life of living in my office trailer. Living in a one bedroom trailer can be a challenge. I bought the best single wide I could afford. It needed a good old fashioned mobile home cleaning plus renovations. My renovation budget was too small to do the house design I wanted. Instead I put in endless hours of mobile home cleaning. I hope you enjoy my mobile home vlog! Plus we are going to Habitat for Humanity also known as the Restore!
Mobile Home Homemaking can be a work in progress!
My Singlewide Mobile Home is not big but it's a great opportunity to make the most out of what I have! My home decorating ideas for my living room is focused on furniture placement and colorful fabrics with patterns. I applied an interior design principle in my trailer that may not be obvious because I do not have the finest furnishings. I used symmetry! It works in any home on any budget. You can make a nice space for yourself, it takes creativity when your budget is low or non-existent. I am working on down-sizing some of my belongings to improve my tiny home! Small progress is still progress and I'm getting there, little by little. Join me as I declutter my home!
MOBILE HOME HOMEMAKING & FRUGAL LIVING
It is a blessing to have a home that I can offer homemaking motivation videos to help you make the most out of what you have! In my mobile home spend the day with me you would find me tidying up and putting things in designated spaces. Mobile home homemaking means making the best home I can using what I got! I use fabric storage containers housing off-season items and supplies under the bed. This is one of my interior design tips for Storage so I can store items out of sight.
MOBILE HOME HOMEMAKING:
This video is a day in the life of mobile home living! One necessary step I must take is keep the floor space clear. I make my home look more neat and tidy by putting things away. When you live in a small home, try to utilize space the best you can so you can safely walk within your home. Create a defined pathway to avoid tripping. If you would see a mobile home clean with me then you'd find me clearing the path in my home, so I can safely walk around! The struggle is real and it's important to create a routine that works for you! My floors are down to the sub flooring. It may not be the prettiest but it's what I'm working with. I want to upgrade my floors to the luxury vinyl tile one day!
HOMEMAKING MOTIVATION
The space is a minimalist home tour but the amount of things I have do fill up the space quickly. I had to figure out how to maximize a tiny space. I make my space work for me and improve as I go. I upgrade items to better quality items when I can. One way I do this is bargain shopping!
Mobile Home Clean With Me
Keeping your floors clear will help your home feel large! Design your space with storage in mind so you can get the most out from your furniture. When I moved here, I had very little furniture, it took time to build up to what I have today.
FRUGAL LIVING
Living in a small singlewide mobile home has challenges. It would be easier if I had a "junk room" but I have to work with what I got. I have one closet housing a water heater. The closet has room to store items which I utilize to the max. Use what you've got, buy what you can, and make the most out of your home whether you live in an apartment, in a mobile home trailer or any other kind of home. You can make a nice home! Going to the thrift store and dumpster diving to decorate your home takes time, so give yourself plenty of room to be creative!

Instead of finding a new home for some of the furniture, I would store it in your little shed. It is perfectly sized for your home. It is hard to find the exact size even if you were shopping at a furniture store. I can’t even count the number of times our bookshelves have traveled from the house to the storage building. I would also save the plastic jars but in the shed until you need it. The kitchen looks great.

That's a great idea! Thank you for your suggestions on the furniture and plastic jars. A friend got 2 pieces of furniture and it will go to good use. I do want to keep the pink table and figure out how to make it work. I just feel so great about the kitchen! It's such a challenge without upper cabinets but it's coming along really well. You have the right idea about letting of your things go to a new home. Rather than moving things around ask yourself “I know this item is useful, but am I actually using it” If not then donate it and let another family use it.

Yes the progress is very good and looking better every time. It’s not easy, but scaling down the furniture pieces is going to make your space feel so much nicer. The pieces you keep should be special and serve a purpose, preferably more than 1 purpose since your space is small. If you loved it when you bought it but you’re not using it, maybe you can bless someone who needs it more. If your weather permits your pink table could be placed on your porch with a basket of herbs or flowers set in a cute napkin or place mat. Add a cute wecome sign. Any of your small tables could be used with cloth on it. Your so cheerful it would greet people telling them there's a happy, fun, cute home here. Yard sales usually have outdoor small tables cheap. Mr. Turtle would like the view😊 I love your thrift store snd dump treasures segments.

I really liked the pink table it’s a very nice color and looks good in your home. I would keep it.🩷and tea should be keep in dark in close container or can lose its flavor, and the tea shops they try to keep all tea in a dark place except for the ones they have on display. Sara have you ever thought about open shelves in your kitchen that way you can put a lot of stuff on it and get it off the floor. If that’s what you want. I love open shelves I live in a small home. Too it is a challenging it. I got more room than you do but it’s still a challenge you’re a little home is so pretty have good day. Happy memorial day take care love your videos. I like your suggestion to add open shelving! I think it would be great to try it out and see how I like it. Some kitchen floor space was cleared out and I'm loving it. It helps make the room feel larger when I can see under the chrome racks. You bring up a good point about living in smaller homes, it can be a challenge for sure. It's also a great way to get creative and figure out how to make it work. Many homes look picture-perfect, and contrasting that to what I got can be an energy zapper, but I'm dedicated to make my home work for me! I love my little trailer! Awww thank you so much! A couple weeks ago when I moved the kitchen cart to the wall, it opened up the floor space so much. It inspired me to keep making little changes to see if I could make things better! It really is fun to change things up as you say! There's the stuff I love and there's the stuff I need. Your place is really looking good with the changes (that was a lot of work). I appreciate your struggle living in a small space. I live in a tiny apartment and I don't think it's any bigger than your space. I'm always being told "It must be so easy to clean" - if they only knew how much more difficult it actually is (trying to maneuver around everything is a task in itself). It took a while to get used to living in such small quarters, but now I actually prefer it. It's funny hearing you say "A place for everything and everything in its place", because that's become my motto over the last few years... until Tuesday. Have a great weekend!

Hi Judy! I had a neighbor once who was about 30 years my senior; he made me an "adult beverage" one summer. I took a sip and I knew there was no way I could finish that drink! He was a very joyful and happy person. I think his specialty drinks helped! I'm loving the little changes in my space. Moving the island cart from the kitchen to the wall inspired me. Oh good! I'm glad I'm not the only one that vacuums the bed! I think the "bed toppers" are supposed to be replaced every now and then and mine might be overdue. But I can still get more use out of it. I've been taking my sheets outside to shake out to freshen them up, it helps. Have a great night!

Hi Sarah, I hope this night finds you happy❤ I wanted to tell you that my vent in my bathroom kept falling too. My solution was to buy the double sided command strips. One side sticks to the vent and the other side will stick to the ceiling. It’s been 3 years now and it’s still holding! A cheap fix that worked lol 😂😊

Hi Bob and Diane! The "OXO" containers are very sturdy and come in handy. Mobile home cabinets seem not as deep as traditional builder grade ones. It's clever to use the right sized storage containers for your cabinets, that's a good solution! It's nice to have silvery items like the ring, I love it. ❤ Looks great Afterwards and I Like it. What about the idea to put the airfilter on top of of a part of the stackable metal shelf on the kitchen counter and use the place for storage under it? Hi, a friend gave me advice to buy more clothes and shoes. I try not to buy very much but food because I like empty space. I've been trying to use things I have or give them away. I did find two(2) free books for my younger grandson, and a history book for myself. Then I put more stuff in the recycling and more in the charity bag. Tina, Al's wife

I was surprised to see that you don't have a bunch of stuff stored under that table. It would be the perfect spot for items that you only use occasionally.

If you can find two plastic bins that fit under there, you can set them outside when you have guests over for dinner and need the table for its intended purpose.
