I love how they portrayed the Faith faction as an independent faction and not another helping hand for the MC. I think Kira's harsh point towards Cagalli goes underrated, and he's the bad cop to Lacus' good cop. He means well, but he's not wrong that Cagalli is already too broken from everything prior to be in the right mind to deal with ORB as is. Lacus, in turn, is trying to hope that Cagalli is a little stronger in resolved now that she's away from ORB. But unfortunately, Kira's more spot on than even he'd like. Course, anyone who paid attention to the entirety of SEED and how Rau haunts him would understand where he's coming from.

And the Gundam Wing team pretty much fought everyone be it OZ/Alliance/White Fang they were basically their own faction. It's a physical weapon striking a PS armored gundam. Unless it's at least as dense as Raider Gundam's mace then it won't do any physical damage whatsoever. It's perfectly serviceable vs other non-PS mass produced units. As for the beam vulcan, you're trading beam rifle's range for fire rate. Again, actually a good complement to the GOUF's melee-oriented build.

As someone who plays SD Gundam G Generation Wars, I can relate. My lv 20 God Gundam casting Sekiha Tenkyouken in Super Critical Tension supposed to kill most bosses, but it didn't kill him, only damaging him by 15k damage. His melee damage in fact, almost makes my full HP God Gundam dies.
