Hello everyone Thank you all for taking the time to watch this video, it seems like this solution is working well for most but not for all. I’ve mentioned few points here to consider while you perform all steps mentioned in video. Please ensure the following 1) Ensure “Data Saver” is off 2) While you follow the steps in video ensure the USB cable is not connected with another device. 3) Try another USB cable even you know the cable is fine but try to connect phone with different USB cable preferably the original came with phone because some USB cables are not suitable for data transfers. 4) Also restart your phone once you follow the steps mentioned in video. Finally, if it still not working then there maybe other issues or other solutions. I wish you best of luck. Stay safe

I did everything and then I went to click USB tethering and my phone wouldn't let me use it as an option it showed all the other options and all the other options worked and I clicked them and the only one that didn't work as the USB tethering options :-( I don't know what to do

Nice steps - only partially - but they have not resolved the problem... The USB tethering was working in the morning... but I have reset the phone - and after the reset the tethering is greyed out... Any ideas?

I don't know why almost none of these videos told me that you have to have mobile hot spot on in order for you to get pass the grey out when you want to tether..MAKE SURE HOT SPOT IS ON..hope this helps someone

Make sure you plug your usb into the laptop, until you do it's going to still appear greyed out.

@@Charlie-xd6vq I discovered it. I went to samsung customer service , and they installed a fresh copy of the android direct from the Internet. All the cables works fine now and some of software issues and battery usage. You have to try it.

I get an entitlement process ongoing. I've tried all your suggestions and have reset the network in the settings. It fails and i get another message saying theres a temporary issue affecting my phone providers hotspot. I've found a work around and can use a 3rd party hotspot tethering app but I'd like to go back to my hotspot working how it used to

I have my wife's Motorola Edge 5G UW (2021) phone. My windows 10 recognized the phone, but wouldn't access it. I went to the phone's settings. Went to "Connected Devices", "USB" and changed the setting from "No data transfer" to "File Transfer". The PC immediately saw the folders in the phone and I was able to select files from my PC, make a folder on the phone and copy them to the phone's folder.

If the update is due go for it, the options are already active on phone then please ensure the USB cable is compatible and working. If all above is done then it should work if problem still continues then I suggest speak to your network/phone provider
