@Mobileblaster
@Mobileblaster Жыл бұрын
@MegaBait1616 yeah to use as a media as its got free sillica (sillica sand/kiln dry sand) tests was done and they found its a lead course for silicosis its best just to use approved media's that way they can tax us properly on the media instead of sweeping up some grit off the ground and siving the dirt and using free media 😂

Probably the same system but an operator that's paying for the media not a worker that's not interested in optimization 😂👍 some people think more media is faster I believe letting the air do the work 😎👌 the is a sweet spot too lean and your diesel bill will be on the high side or too rich and your media will be eaten up too quick

It was around 18x 25kgs bags so 450/500kgs if memory serves could have been less. I really like crushed glass it's cheap and fast cut. 😊👌👍 yeah I've looked into these and the costs involved plus the cut rate is super slow the technology isn't quite ready to rival a sandblaster even if it did do a similar job to a blaster the energy needed wouldn't make it feesable just yet. I believe it will be the future but not for a good time yet 👍

@Mobileblaster
@Mobileblaster Жыл бұрын
Depending on the humidity and if you can keep the steel dry it will last days even weeks before flash rusting appears I've had an old lambretta frame sitting in the unit for almost a year and it was still fine obviously the type of metal plays a part in this as cast iron flash rusts near instantly after blasting with very little humidity. But rolled steel seams to have a good resistance to flash rusting

I'm not sure about the canal systems I think they can go almost everywhere the narrow 1s do but I'm unsure to be fair. Yes definitely worth the investment and I like to see a different when I spend money but you will find it hard to find the 950 needed for 400cfm I've got the 850 and the next hit is 1050 ya need 500cfm I believe for that. Don't fall for the sales pitch of they add power that's bolx but they do add reach well they keep the cone tighter for longer so it will feel more power as the overspray is reduced and the hotspot is hotter 👌👍 they add about ft extra reach compared to a standard nosel

@@Mobileblaster Ive blasted a lot of auto body panels but im looking for an industrial setup. I was hoping the "Dustless Blasting" db800 would put out similar results as to what you are getting. I have a chance to buy one that was never used for cheap with the compressor and everything but I also have a guy wanting to sell me a low hour Atlas copco 850 but I would have to figure out what pot I want to run with it. 850 may be overkill.

@MrYz250fman moh flow = moh dow 😎 but along comes very expensive to run services diesel etc burns ya gear out faster blasting can be done with any cfm it's just how fast do you want to move alot plays a part can your store it can you move it 1 man do you own a unit with forklift etc etc workload plays a massive factor when parting with big money can you justify spending a lot of money going big or will a smaller rig suit better 140/260 cfm really good down the line 260+ is more for folk that can make it pay I could out shine guys with 400+ cfm with a 260cfm personally I would say go for a 180cfm and when that becomes your limit not skill then think about going bigger last thing you want to do is spend 100+k and find out a 15k rig would suit better

Okay..thanks for the sharing. Must be a good grit. Minimal dust and I see it is easy for you to work alone. Here I need at least 1 pax to stand by the blasting pot because the garnet is always stuck in the pot and does not flow smoothly. By the way, we are doing work in South East Asia. @yachticus yeah any mild steel will last a decent amount of time if it can be kept dry boats are no different if the get wet they will flash rust but it's not a big problem looks bad but the tea staining really isn't hard to remove can be done with chemicals or even acid primers some say leave to flash rust so they adhere properly
