Thank you so much for sharing all this content! I’m a massage therapist from Israel and have seen some difficult cases. At the end of the day, massage therapists aren’t trained to look at the whole body and go to the root cause. We’re aware that it can be referred pain, but it’s left at that (from my education at least). Your videos help me see what might be causing patients’ pain, and in some cases, my own. I’m very thankful for your giving and loving attitude in bringing a new tool to the healing community. I hope It reaches every corner of the world-it’s gotten this far at least :)

After years of working out daily, long bicycle rides, running, weight training, yoga, etc. I have a significant amount of pain in my calves, quads, upper back, upper arm and hips (piriformis). I was diagnosed with compartment syndrome in my left calf. I have tried to use foam rolling but I was not using it correctly. I wasn't pinning the fascia and staying on the location long enough. Now I set a timer. In just a few days of using your techniques I have experienced significant relief from calf pain ( the pain made it difficult to even walk, go up and down stairs or sit). Using your techniques quad release have also helped improve other pain I have mapped my body but the techniques I was using such as myofascial release weren't aggressive enough to solve the problems. I believe, after listening, watching and applying your various techniques for fascial release that tight fascia is my biggest issue. I, as others have indicated, have tried various doctors, MD, chiropractors, massage therapists, sports medicine and physical therapy with little if any relief. It's very difficult to find practitioners such as yourself. I live in a small city. Thank you for all of your videos and your philosophy. I believe you should start your own school or affiliate with an existing school to train practitioners all over the country. Thank you.

Thank you so much for sharing a bit of your story! You inspire me to keep sharing 🙌🏽 I have tried to teach Kinetix (my method and the philosophies behind it) in a professional capacity, but it hasn't been very successful to date because my standards are very high. I won't issue certificates for money paid to me, and in my opinion the qualifying characteristics of someone worthy of working with people in pain are rare. At the top of that list is a commitment to doing their own personal work to the extent they cultivate objective perception. Otherwise there's a tendency to project onto clients, and when that happens - practitioners are trying to heal themselves, instead of the person in front of them. I will keep trying though 😊 You're doing the hard work of self-healing, and I salute you!

A lot of points resonated with my current and long experience with pain. I spent the entirety of 2017 going through similar trials of going through experts (neurologist, orthopedist, chiropractor, physical therapist) trying to figure out what was happening to my body. They all focused on what they specialized in. The neurologist tested for neurological diseases. The ortho ran x rays to show pinched nerves. The chiropractor ran the same alignment cracking of the spine they use for every customer to "correct" me. None of them could tell me a top down reason for why I had my pain. Diagnosis were all based on the area they specialized in. I gave up going to doctors and being let down by their solutions. I spent hundreds on MRIs and tests with no clear idea for what was causing it. My last interaction with a professional was my orthopedist when he scheduled me a cortisone shot for me. I knew it at best would be a symptom relief but not a fix. Some of what you talk about hints to me you're familiar with dr Sarnos work about how pain is not always just physical. I read some of his books and just reliving my life. Pain never left but it never left me after consulting with specialists in the first place. I've read the book Crooked. It shared more insight into the pain industry which again you reinforce in this video. The overprescribing of pain and unnecessary surgeries. I still have terrible neck shoulder clavicle pain. Something is tight and not aligned. I just don't know how to fix and it's been hard to even think of reaching out to another specialist again for fear of disappointment that I've faced every time someone was unable to figure it out for me.

I hear you. Exactly how I felt! When I finally healed my knees after 8 years of not being able to run it was with the help of my best friend. Not a doctor. Not a PT. Not a massage therapist. That experience is why I went into private practice - I wanted to give that gift back to as many people as I could, and I've always promised not to take client's money unless they get a result. I just launched a new online course that teaches partners how to work on each other doing my method of fascial release. I'm offering people the chance to try it first (no CC required), and only pay me if you get results, the same as I do in my private practice. If you're interested in details email info@mobilitymastery.com Otherwise - check out the self help techniques I have. Some of them may be able to get you a result. I recommend the biceps, brachialis and chest releases to start with.

So true. Everything she says in this video is totally on point. If you haven't watched this video yet, watch it and understand everything she is talking about. I've watched and listened to a lot of crap on the subject of pain and this is probably the best I've heard it explained in a truthful sense. Ditch the meds, braces and needles. This is the way to a pain free life.

I really enjoy your videos! I trained recently in Shiatsu and started to have sore fingers hands arms, so modified using the rest of my body including feet! My clients loved it and were getting great results. Watching these videos helps me fine tune and understand better why it's working so well.Your also validating worrying less about the labels people have been giving their pains and focusing on listening to the actual body... I'm grateful your sharing here. It means everything to me to find a true mentor

Thank you for this. For a few months I've been following your videos and instructions to life-changing effect. But I didn't have the concept of really mapping out the body and the fascia movements vs restrictions. I'll start working on that "map" now, I think it will be very informative and help me figure out where and how to target areas to the greatest effect. I've been completely debilitated for nearly a decade and your work is unlocking my whole body as well as helping my nervous system. Thank you so much, I am hopeful of having a life again for the first time in a very long time.

@@ElishaCeleste Hi, thanks so much for your reply. I just walked an old friend of mine through starting this kind of fascia release work (like 30 minutes ago lol), he has Dupuytren's contracture. Is that something you've ever worked with successfully? Obviously releasing fascia anywhere will help everywhere, but I'm very curious if I can help his hands be able to open back up again.

@@SpectrumOfChange I haven't worked with anyone specifically with that issue, but I am aware of it and I definitely believe it's worth trying and has the potential to completely reverse it. I've seen fascia release reverse arthritis, MS and other so called incurable diseases.

@@ElishaCeleste Okay fantastic. Given that it's working for me, I figured it would be possible for other severe/genetic disorders. We'll see if my friend can let it work :) Thanks heaps for the reply.

Feels so validating that I'm not the only one that wants the reason/root/cause of pain! I also believe it can be corrected and I have a lot of issues with band aid methods. I'm basically to the point that my son cannot play and climb on me, I can't have him or anything touch my thighs, neck, arms. I can barely walk when I wake up in the morning and I've been waking with neck pain many mornings. I just did some self work on my neck and subclavius for the 3rd night in a row and I'm hoping for a continued decrease in my neck pain and crunching. I am still going to follow through with doctors and getting tests done, as this is 5+ years in pain, but I will also keep working on learning and practicing more of these techniques! Thanks so much.

I’m a massage therapist that is able to fix pain in similar manner...yet, I have trouble finding anyone to help me. It really is about finding someone who gets it. I currently have to drive two hours to see someone who actually helps. Education doesn’t equal ability. I’ve been doing it naturally since I started. Healers gonna heal.

After having so much success with the tailbone exercise,I'm going to try to map my fascia. I have been dealing with horrid stiffness muscle spasms in my lower back gluts hips & upper thighs in back ( burning sensation like someone poured acid in them) ( I have to flip in bed and I moan most of the night) - it hurts so much to sleep its like having to return to my cage in hell each night. No one but you has given me any clue what this is (Im also doing TMS work- Dr Sarno- tight muscle caused by trapped trauma) - and although Im getting more peaceful and resolving my emotional issues, not getting any relief from nighttime pain. So much better once I sit up, better when I move, but I literally have trouble walking to another room or up the steps. I cycle a few times a week though and that causes no problems- and makes the stiffness go away. It has to be facia related- I refuse to take drugs or have operations.

Hi Elisha, I use many bandaids: orthotics, knee brace, Si joint belt - my question is how do I safely remove them without causing too much stress on the parts that I am using them for? 12 years ago I was experiencing pain/numbness in my right foot, 2nd and third toes, I went to many foot dr and finally 2 yr ago I found a dr that knew how to make an orthotic to alleviate my toe pain, but then I started to get knee problems and Si joint pain on the right side. After listening to you I am very mad at myself for getting those orthotics cause I think I may have caused my other problems from them. 🤬 I have to say after using your compress & sheer technique for my calves, quads, and IT band I am able to go on city walks without wearing my knee brace, I have yet to try a hike without this brace though. As you can see I am still quite attached to my other bandaids, I want to stop wearing my orthotics but I don’t want to feel the toe pain again. What do you suggest I do or try? Thanks

It's like mindfulness in physical manipulation... Releasing that stress. Being in that moment while your foam rolling or being stepped on. If you ever get to the south UK... I am SO having a session with you lol..

I had double knee replacement two years ago - after a bout of causing bursitis in the knees through vacuuming I have had pain in and around the knees which has caused intermittent pain and has restricted me in doing the things I think I need to do to strengthen them and give me back the mobility and power to walk longer distances, hike on uneven surfaces etc. Your explanation about the fascia makes me curious as to the application of your kinetic principles to get rid of the pain and tenderness that is ever present in and around the knees - that makes them still feel “abnormal” to me - - I believe that the fascia in and around the knees definately need to be Stretched?, manipulated?, till they feel fully integrated with the new knee parts and other muscles and tendens around the knees ...I hopefully can find a practitioner who understands these principles and can help guide me through a process to eliminate the pain and be able to get full use of my legs/knees/thighs in a healthy manner again. Am I on the right track?

Hey Linda - my simple "formula" for finding the root cause of pain (if it is fascia related), is to release as much fascia as possible in either the upper or lower body (hopefully both over time), and get curious about which areas produce a result along the way. We tend to overthink things, and we want specific strategies (like do X for knee pain, Y for back pain, Z for foot pain), but most pain has a systemic root cause that can be healed systemically. I have self help technique tutorials on this channel and my blog, so you can release your own fascia. I'm also opening this course again (my Kinetix partner course) SOON.

I've tried Gonstead Chiropractics (L-5 was the culprit from their stand..). Then I tried A.R.T. and they wanted me to show up for 2 yrs ($$$??)..and then I said F it!!! No one is telling why I'm going through this and wasn't getting any answers..to top it off, I was told I might not even get better after yrs of their therapies...anyway, in just two days of palpating, feeling, being present, and finding areas of distinction and working them, I feel pretty damn good! I feel the area, get my mind zoned in on finger and area and just feel..I'll maybe notice a tightness..I'll work this and it will literally guide me to other areas..and within minutes I've loosened my quad let's say..I also notice a sound in my brain when I'm in the right area, like a call calling (freaken weird).. I've basically gotten loosened up and faster in my day to day movement, my neck I couldn't turn, my one side hip was off etc etc...everything has been impacted just by my hands and presence..another thing is that the applying of hands and one my mind jumps on board fully (within seconds, I almost send like a pulse of energy or something to area where it'll stand spasming alittle then relax, allowing me to use finger to open up whatever I run into...crazy stuff!!! I wanna study this..I also worked on others and fixed a neck and another's shoulder (they think I'm Jesus now!!!). My question is, I had a left calf injury yrs past (partially torn I think) which I'm sure effected my hip, neck shoulder all on left side...I'm working the cal f periodically which has alot of adhesion s, scar tissue..any pointers? And also I'm heading you say the use of tool on self like foam roller, balls etc..but I find my fingers give me way more info while working areas..what you think? Thanks much for you kindness in helping others..all this free info where most want you to buy this and that! God Bless

Btw, you mentioned in a another video of dealing with a patient who had left calf rolled up in a ball and that it may have been do to calf and opposing muscles flex at same time..and that your focus was on the opposing muscle, if I'm getting this right? I was stuck in a jiu jitsu calf lock by another and both calf and opposing muscles are flexed usually in these circumstances.. I Hurd a loud snap (others also heard it)..the inner calf seems rolled up..I'm working both calf area and opposing area..good idea..I'm basically working the whole body..I'm finding thing everywhere, could you possibly have this much to work on?

I'm apologize to reply to my own reply but something amazing happened (and I share this here since no one knows me). Since experimenting for few days, I've just been able to lightly palpate feel and map area. Then I notice something that doesn't not fit the pattern with sensations. Then I will it the firm belief intention and get both side if brain fully engaged in a relaxed way to point of finger and sensations felt in targeted area. But what do now is will it firmly and place finger on any muscle fiber and sorounding and lightly touch it ( not press ing at all) and the top area opens up on its own, I'll work this and deeper areas open. Which ever area I do this to it works, just as long as I have this odd focus..it's like I'm not their but watching behind the scene while fully aware and the body follows..thus is fucken amazing!! Thanks u!!! I've tried a few things and I'm glad I'm always open to different thing. This has been best and won't knock the ones used before, but this out the puzzle together. But I think their must be more. The brain I think if we get out of its way or get it out of its way and develop our capacities within that we could do more then we think. I'm blown away by all this I'm surprised I'm just sitting and not jumping or something cause I almost can now.

I've been using your self help techniques from youtube including the one with a partner, using my husband as my partner. My first takeaway from this post is maybe I'm concentrating on the wrong side of my body. I run and use kettlebells and am very active, but have nagging pain on the right side of my body. Mostly in my butt and lower back on that side, not my whole lower back. We work on both sides but more on the right cause that's where I hurt most. Maybe I should experiment more on the left? Also I've thought about buying your online course but I'm afraid we wouldn't do it correctly. Just last night when my husband was stepping on me and he was on spots that hurt me more than others I asked if he could feel a difference and he said not really. Could we learn to feel the difference when doing Kinetics? I'm 63 years old and have always had some pain on my right side. I've been to physical therapist and chiropractors, they helped a little but your techniques have helped the most. I really think this could be the answer because this has helped more than anything, but not completely. Sorry so long, just trying to figure things out.
