The vivo is slightly better at zoom but overall the oppo is more consistent, at least right now. Also the vivo is more bulky compared to this.

Yes! I've had a hard time choosing between those two, but also OnePlus 13 series. It had gotten very hard to make a final choice when camera quality is most important to me. Does anyone have any other high quality China smartphone. I've had bit Appl and Sammy that to expensive for what your getting. You're paying two much for the brand name on those two. I've also looked at Huawei Pura 70 series but they are lacking CPU - GPU with a slow processing chip. Buying a camera quality smartphone is no easy task!

Bit the bullet and bought the x8 pro. Camera is unreal. Coming from a Vivo x100 pro Global which was outstanding. This though is better hands down and the Vivo camera was already superb.

I will take a $399 US Samsung phone, over anything and everything apple makes. And didn't that brand/camera was bad back in the day when OnePlus started to use them? Well, I guess that company has quickly become better than lots of others. Heck, I'd take a 110mm camera over anything apple makes, and pictures will come out better, for sure!

Color Os15 fixed that issue.Color os 15 is super smooth(even smoother than IOS) and optimized.And as for updates,Oppo provides a lots of updates for their flagship phones.like oppo find x7 ultra usually gets 2 updates every month.Most people dont know about that.

@@andrewshiu5872 Both of them are good.Those chinese giants(xiaomi,vivo and oppo) evolved so much in cameras that There is no problem in taking any of that.Its just now personal preference like some prefers leica look,some prefers hasselblad look.But if u wanna get the best in imaging system,than go for vivo. And as for UI,the chinese variant of Vivo X200 pro have Origin OS which is far better than global variants Funtouch OS.But overall(looks,smoothness,updates),color os(oppo's UI) is better than origin os/funtouch os.

What's disappointing is that none of the reviewers are calling out the drawbacks, especially considering the hefty amount Oppo is charging for it obviously because the Bali trip and this review was sponsored by oppo. It's definitely not worth the price for few simple reasons. It doesn't have ultrasonic finger print, doesn't have 2k display, can't record 8k videos and overall the cameras are a degrade from last year. I had pre booked it and was almost able to buy it and thankfully found just 1 or 2 rare reviews which talked about all of this. Oneplus which has all these features and going to be priced around 75k is so much more worth. Except the 6x optical zoom, oneplus 13 is better in every way. So canceled the booking and will wait for the oneplus 13. You guys should be a little responsible at least and have the courtesy to mention the drawbacks towards the end of the video.

At 11:40 it's said that it "lets you shoot RAW 50MP across all four lenses". That's inaccurate, right? The DNG files must be 12.5MP, and the JPG files must be up to 50MP. I don't know a single phone that can save 50MP DNG files.

Hello, thank you so much for the video, very interesting! I own the Oppo Find X8 Pro, and I've noticed a very pronounced starburst effect in background light sources when there’s a subject in focus in the foreground. It’s extremely sharp and unnatural, almost like one of those fake bokeh effects in the shape of stars or hearts that can be added with some software. Do you think this is because it's a periscope lens? With the 3X lens on my Xiaomi 14, the rendering of the lights is much more beautiful and natural. Thanks a lot!

it depends on your usage honestly. This is a great phone with even better cameras and undoubtedly, high end flagship performance. So this won't disappointyou for sure. But you've to think about your learning curve and the time it might take for you to adapt to Android, if you're not used to it. There are nuances that might take some time getting used to (I assure you, those are much superior to iOS)

no. they are quite difference. vivo uses a 200 MP telephoto sensor (3.7x zoom). X8 pro uses dual periscope lens. Essentially, oppo will offer much sharper zoom photos because it has two telephoto lenses - 3x and 6x. vivo x200 pro only has 1 - and so it doesn't cover a very wide zoom range. However, it's got crazy portrait capabilities and low light ability.
