It's is out of my budget just to get that out of my pants, I am going to say I love my mobulas 7. However I am an all or nothing kinda guy. I either love HD or DVR. Thanks Stew, it looks like we are finally back where we started though thrust to weight wise. The weight definitely affected the flying. Good to see a company willing to go this direction, and I hope they do it more, but the lack of agility kinda kills this one for me.

@Sasquatch FPV yes, I am also holding back on a purchase until happymodel makes some more tweaks and/or the pro’s figure out the perfect PID tuning. Well... did you have some water on your lens or is KZbin conversion doing something to the great 1080p HD feature? Because all I see is some blury video even on KZbin's 1080p option forced. Some trees in the video are just VERY LOW RES and blury does'nt look like a full HD footage at all.. It also seems that the camera is sticking out a bit from the canopy like on TinyHawk which will make it vounerable to potential damage on crashes. Btw two funny things I noticed... You are saying you got 2 packs only while there is a like a full box of them sittin before you (at 1:12 ) :) And you are saying the oryginal Mobula 7 had a F7 FC (that would be fun but its actualy just an F3 ) (at 4:27 :):))
@tiagotiagot6 жыл бұрын
1080p is "full HD", just "HD" is 720p. But what looks like is the issue here is mainly the bitrate, the video has too low bitrate, it is too compressed.

So i ve got dji spark and its great for video capture and scenic pics. Im interested in FPV drone now and wanna try my hands on that. Im considering a tinyhawk RTF as im a beginner but some of the footage that ive seen bothers me (maybe thats normal for this kind of whoop drone?). So it got me thinking about the HD Mobula 7. The video capture on this is great but im worried about the cost of having to buy goggles and a controller (transmitter?) Unlike the tinyhawk RTH... its all set up and ready to fly out of the box. I wish there was an all in one option for the Mobula 7 like the tinyhawk. If not could anyone recommend goggles and a contoller for the mobual HD 7 thats not going to cost an arm and a leg? General advice would be much appreciated, too. Thanks in advance.

I think this hole market should try to stay in its ranges for being indoor flyers for tight spaces on 1s (hopefully soon having the performance somewhere near a tinywhoop brushed. and a 2s option to zip around in gardens and perhaps even going acro mode and fly smoothly and just train your fingers, etc. I even think that the 2" guys should stay heavier to be wind resitent and more suited on flying a park with some "power moves" on 3s. I am still undecided. I have seen a lot of quads that have potential, but still wondering, if it should come to tune them for different purposes as well.....so get a mobula 7 on 1s or 22s with throttle cut perform in tight spaces like a tinywhoop or a tinyhawk 1s with project mockingbird tuning (which seemed to have lifted it to a whole other level in indoor flying). These tuning attempts should also be something to consider as some of them really seem to change character when tuned correctly. I would prefer the tinyhawk with somewhat nicer design and the capability to go 2s with perhaps another tune and a heavier battery to at least get along in mild gardenflying and still feel planted. I only have 20 x 20 meters in my garden to do stuff... And another thing: Some quads seems to be quieter...also something to consider, if I just relax in my garden and I and my father fly the hell out of these things.

I am not a fan of brute force and heavy models, and 3 cells on a little quad, such as these, is as I said in my Mobula 7 custom frame videos, they do not handle as efficient as with the lighter stock mob7 and we are really asking a bit much from those little motors. 2 Cell is really the limit on these for good handling and efficient flights. I built my own Mob 7 HD, 2S, and even 1S, before these came out, all the parts are readily available and it may cost you more but if you like to tinker and think you can achieve a lighter version, it is quite possible, but be prepared to become a micro quad surgeon, it is quite tedious removing weight at these micro sizes. The main weight killer is that huge camera, with a similar quality camera at 1/2 the weight it fits better the 2 cell spec model with better handling and flight times. 3 Cells ! it hurts me to even think about it, those are tiny "bricks" literally.
