At some point in 1971 some live footage of a soundcheck was captured by one of the major networks at the time..apparently the soundcheck was blazing but the show that night was a disaster. Whatever happened in between the soundcheck and actual gig is just another piece of the bad luck story AKA the Grape saga. Footage will probably never surface or was wiped/recorded over. Would really be something amazing to see live 1971 grape on top quality film. Read this in a rock magazine from that era. Some of you diehards know the issue/article I'm talking about.

Excellent Song! Just waiting for someone to post Chinese Song. Nice live fan recording for I can visualize Skippy taking an axe to a door. Also playing Chinese Song on a Koto. Went to Mason & Wilson High with J.M. We would listen to B.B.King before band practice. Later on as Kidd Rhythm at KAOS in Olympia I'd turn the FM listening audience on to M.G. with Chinese Song. I would also play the tune & offer it for sale in downtown Olympia's underground Music Store Positively 4th Street. Awesome!
