[MOC] Mercedes Zetros 1833 "Expedition Truck" 4x4 FullRC - LEGO Technic MOC - SBrick

Deep forests, hot deserts, hostile Arctic or lively jungle: No problem for the #Mercedes #Zetros 1833.
The Mercedes Zetros 1833 “Expedition Truck” is my second #LEGO #Technic Zetros in an approximate scale of 1:13.5. The construction time was actually only three weeks. Then the truck was finished by and large. The extensions and improvements took another 11 months.
This MOC is driven by 4 PF XL motors, steered by a PF Servo and controlled by 2 #SBrick and 1 PF Infrared Receiver. The superstructure is fully equipped. In the rear there is a shelter for an ATV. For a nice evening the Zetros has a motorized awning.

There is a wired sound when it is driving but it performs really well in the terrain. Love it.

The strange sound comes from LEGO pieces whining under heavy load :D You won't see how the parts looked when I teared them apart some weeks ago. I had to disassemble the whole axles because the turntables were stuck of abrasion.

I had a similar problem with one of my trial trucks, pretty sure it was the 4 tooth knob gears on heavy stress.

Danke! Das BHTM-Video hab ich geplant, also ja. Ob des Gewichts war ich gestern selbst baff erstaunt. Hatte immer mit circa 4,5 kg gerechnet. Aber es ist halt doch noch ein wenig dazu gekommen :) Und was das Fahren angeht: Die vier XL haben halt einfach Kraft (müssen nur so verbaut werden, dass sie die Teile nicht gleich pulverisieren).

One thing I suggest changeing is the battery supply. There's a smaller version and better version on Amazon. I forgot what it's called but I hered it gives more power to the motors and it's easier to charge

I’m really happy with the big battery packs. They give enough power and last for a good time to play. Plus: They’re fast to change. The other option would be the BuWizz but that’s a little more tricky to handle if there are more than one and SBricks. But thanks for the suggestion

do you use portal hub from lego or make yourselft by turntable ? The knob wheel is not good for efficiency but as you have one motor per wheel, this is the best option regarding the torque.

Moin, eine Bauanleitung gibt es derzeit nicht und wird es voraussichtlich auch nicht geben. Ich werde jedoch Anleitungen für einzelne Baugruppen veröffentlichen, so dass jeder seinen Zetros bauen kann. Den Anfang mache ich der Tage mit dem ATV, dessen Bauanleitung fast fertig ist.

Das hast leider recht. Zumindest mit zuletzt geschriebenen. Was er mich gekostet hat, kann ich gar nicht sagen. Habe einen guten kleinen Steinevorrat und konnte viel PF günstig gebraucht kaufen. Die LED haben mich halb arm gemacht :) Und LEGO wird den in der Form - glaube ich - niemals bringen. Viel zu groß und teilweise auch zu komplex. (Außerdem gibt es da draußen noch so viele andere großartige MOCs. Warum dann grade meins? ;) )

Ich habe mir getraut, daß große Löschfahrzeug von Technik zu gönnen und bin beim Bau fast verzweifelt... 😅. Ich muss auch dazu sagen, nach 20 Jahren, war das das erste Technik Modell was ich mir gekauft habe 😅. Du hast schon ein cooles Ding gebaut 👍💪
