Thank you! This is an extremely helpful video! I’ve had my Mockmill for a month and a half and LOVE it! I have not been able to get really fine flour from it though till now. Your video gave me just the help I needed to get my mill calibrated for the fine flour I need. Wow.. I feel so much more confident using it now that I’m understanding better how to make the adjustments for fine to coarse flour. ❤️👍🏼

If you run your mill where the stones are you touching isn’t that grinding the stones down and getting some stone dust into your flower? Also wouldn’t those stones eventually grind each other down to where they don’t work as good?

I'm hoping to get a response from you! I've milled lots and lots of grain with my Mockmill 200. Lately it seems to build hard layers on the inside of the chamber. I have to take the mill apart and gently scrape it all loose and vacuum it out. So? do I need to replace the little sweeper brush? Or is there another reason? It seems like the flour is coming out hotter than when I first got the mill. Yes, I clean it with rice from time to time. I've had this mill 4+ years Thank you for helping. I did try to call your company once to get new springs, I lost one and the ones from the hardware store are a little different.

Every time I hear those grinders hitting each other I can't help but cringe, thinking they are causing wear on each other. Would you not want to avoid them actually touching? They are the same material as each other and therefore should in theory be wearing. Does the manufacturer suggest you adjust it close enough to where you hear them grinding against one another?

Thank you! Do you need to adjust (unscrewing the lever and moving to a wider or closer setting) while the mill is running as the video or can it be done with it off. Say you are grinding corn or beans and KNOW ahead you are going to need to widen the space between the stones. Sorry but just received mine today.

@breadtopiaBreadtopia
@breadtopiaBreadtopia 4 жыл бұрын
You don't want to run it dry with the stones touching for long. As long as you're actually milling something and flour is passing between the stones, the stones won't be wearing against each other. You can tighten the stones too much, which you'll know if the flour is coming out the spout smoking hot.
