And yet one could point fingers. Just the last days an investigativ documantary has shown that 10% of the population here in germany, people with income of 700k € or higher, are responsible for 50% of Co2 emissions on an individual level. Majorly due to them using private jets. They interviewed a bunch of these private jet users and it was abhorent how these people don't know, don't want to know or are knowing but don't care of their contribution to the problem of CO2 aslong they can do whatever the fuck they want.

I have profoundly thought about many of these ideas in one form or other since I was a child. "WHY" my friend yelled to me one time 40 years ago , " You always want to know why? , that's not normal " . Around the same time my father said "Son, those thoughts and questions are dangerous ". Now at 65 my lovely and very traditional thinking sister said " What I love about you is that you continue to be fearlessly like Don Quixote. Trying to defeat injustice but with understanding . by observing this amazing world as it is that I live in. This documentary is a reflection of many thoughts I have had, but this doc does so in very clear language and concepts. A story that needs a wide and healthy run. WELL done ya'll!

Nature was able to recover, now with so many more people demanding higher life style and being unwilling to change. Selfishness and greed destroy the beauty and fragility.

We are part of the systems around us as a human super organism, conditioned to the illusions we have built. Now it's time to shift our power of now to become aware of our how we are part of nature. The answer lies in the "unconditioned" space inside each of us. Tap that blocked energy and all you find is love.

That absolutely smashed me, especially the end. I've often dwelt on the universal balance that is fostered by innumerable inhabitants and made decisions that not only benefit my life but that of all. I particularly enjoyed the passage about energy, it made me think of all the cars that drove past me as I walked to work, how much energy they must have borrowed and how it was to be given back. At my work my boss wants me to operate machinery to do a job slightly faster, I said I'd prefer to do it by hand because it would save the power for when it was really needed, he said time costs more, and power was always available. I try not to be bigoted towards those who see or understand things differently but I have to admit, when I see those cars driving by I do wonder, how many species have we killed because we borrow energy, how many Amazon dwelling natives have been slaughtered for man's desire to fit in, make money or even eat a burger. I think humans will live on, in far smaller numbers, and in generations to come they will know the great folly we created for ourselves, and I like to think they won't make the same mistake.

There's a saying, history repeats itself. Lets hope, and maybe pray we can change that. Another saying is that those who win the battle or war, writes the history. We are now in a battle, a war. If we don't get this right, we're finished. Those with the money have the power. Those with the power win the battles and the wars. It doesn't have to be that way. There's more of us than them. We just need to change our way of thinking. We don't need all they're selling. When we stop buying there merchandise, they lose their power. When we realize we don't need every new thing they come up with, they lose their power. When we realize what we need is love, rather than their shiny new toys, they lose their power.

@@danielhanawalt4998 I've heard someone knowledgeable say that moderation kills. I think humanity has convinced itself that it'll be fine if caution and restraint is exercised. It won't be ok, we're already in major borrowed time and we need to start sealing holes before the ship sinks. All our lives we've been shown how things must be and if anything it's a total opposite, we're not consumers, we're product, plain and simple. To challenge that means taking on governments whose only concern is growth and strength, they're puppets to a system created by corporation's and the only role they have is to keep us healthy so we can work out fingers to the bone so those obsessed with greed and status can feel a grotesque sense of achievement. They won't know what hit them.

Because under capitalism, every natural resource has a monetary value, and the more rare and exotic or endangered the resource, the higher the value. We were screwed when they ceased the anti-trust lawsuits and let big oil drill in our national parks which are owned by the American people.

We need to limit human reproduction. But that is a third rail. I asked an expert about it - he said it’s impossible. People want to make their own decisions about having children (witness the problems created by China’s one-child policy.) Human beings’ drives and desires are in direct conflict with preserving Earth’s environment. So I see this as a monumental tragedy, an unstoppable process. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do every possible to try to delay or stop it.

As long as that desire is not centered around making more electrical vehicles, which actually are running on fossil fuel, and even more so than the gasoline ones.... then yes, we all need to think about how we could contribute to Earth's future well being.... some ideas..... let's all be vegetarian ..... let's build public transportation systems and stop glorifying the individual cars... let's stop putting water in bottles (yes, that is a very destructive habit!) and let's stop poisoning our drinking water with chlorine and fluorides and other very toxic chemicals (there are better ways to make clean water!)... those are just a few but very efficient ways to bring about a better life for our planet... believe it or not! I can hear all the objections from the lobbyists of those industries who all make big profits off of the meat industry, the water chemical industry, the car manufacturers, and so on.... change is hard to come by! Greed reigns supreme! Poor earth... it will survive even if we don't ... and maybe that's the best solution for all, to save this planet. Except that we won't be needing it anymore!

I see the effects of the poverty I live in clearly in this video. I am not primarily motivated by money, but by real meaning, by truth. And so it’s sad to see the “Me shaped hole in the world” in the ideas of this video which are only a partial description of our most serious problems. It’s because I have tried for decades to be heard, and I will never give up on humanity, or on life, because I dearly love it. That’s why I am poor. Because the way I think in wholes across time and space can neither be monetized or easily understood. So I am a symbol of the problem. I don’t exist to a world looking for anything but truth, in the larger holistic sense. They look for monetization, usefulness now, fame, etc. these things are just local motivational structures but the overall picture is very different. That’s where I am supposed to come in, but I cannot get a job despite being extremely high in IQ and obsessive about accuracy and truth. Because I will never stop at the avenues to destinations that are not in my higher GPS, so to speak. I actually know what and why the problems are and how to solve them. This video is a start, but they don’t understand the whole picture. It’s bigger than organisms. I wrote a book 20 years ago about the meta-cognitive aspects of life and human civilization that contains the seed of the solutions and I spend every day writing articles and sending grant proposals or finishing my next book about all these things but humanity did not make a spot for me. Not currently. Granted, I am an anomaly, but the problems that are arising and human consumption are the way they are for specific very important reasons. Obviously it is not sustainable. It’s a crossing of a bridge to the future where things WILL be sustainable. It’s a war against chaos which has been all-out. We think we are consuming or gaining wealth, but these things also have a higher meaning which actually is what enables them at all, the same higher pattern which gave us language. It has been sending messages across time and space for eons. In the form of these patterns. Our short lives and self-centered perspectives has made us blind to it, it’s a matter of time-vision. Hardly anyone has it. Thanks for this video. I will keep trying. Sometimes the smallest thing can change the world forever. I intend to keep trying to be that butterfly which changes all of history for the better. Despite being homeless and ignored because people cannot understand me, and I understand them all too well. Thank you for reading this if you did. Please read some of my recent comments or like or subscribe if you see anything in them. I need help, and I am asking for a favor from you for one thing, to make life better. I am not asking money. But a place in the world. A voice for the message and meaning that I see and the world could benefit from. Thank you for being you. I love you because you are my hero. Every person in every mundane job is a warrior but they don’t even know or understand. I do. And I thank you with complete sincerity because we ARE truly one. And we ARE all in this together. And as long as we know this, no darkness can ever extinguish our light from the universe. ❤️‍🔥🙏🏻♾

I wanted to tell you that yesterday night I was reading a page from "Jaina Sutras by Hermann Georg Jacobi" and I want to share that sentence with you. "the animistic belief that nearly everything is possessed of a soul." "animistic belief" is the author's condescending bias. Soul, I translate or assume, it means Life. Hermann was a German. He translated this into English (!) from original Pali and Sanskrit. My own personal perception is that SPACE is ALIVE and everything and all Life "crystalized" out of it and will disappear into it. Also, before we destroy Earth, It will destroy us if we continuously behave like a virus on its body. Once again, thank you so much for weaving together beautiful ideas into an art of moving-making. Very effective, very educational, very beautiful. Thank you again! This time, I will not look for an emoji of folded hands (namaste). That's how I lost the first draft!!!!! 🙏🙏🙏

Being self responsible for what we think, feel, and do is key to everything. Remembering who we truly are and that we are connected as one with the entire universe. We have the power within ourselves to raise our vibrations and make the changes for the health of Planet Earth. The things that are destroying this planet will eventually dissolve as we develop our consciousness as a collective. Earth is moving towards a higher consciousness, so it's up to us to raise ours with her. It's time to let free energy technology be the power for all.

I am a Caucasian American. But my culture from an early age has been the highest wisdom and Spirituality of India; and then China and Japan. Those incredible ancestors have given my life an unspeakable treasure. They have lifted me beyond a human animal, to a being who recognizes the highest intelligence of the universe and existence. Consciousness and awareness enlightened to itself! The nonduality of material existence and spiritual awareness. No self/other, but one life energy capable of harmony. Feet planted firmly on the earth, rooted in being; and consciousness expanding to the ends of space. Flying freely, liberated. 🕉 That is my inherited culture. A blessing ✨ 🙏 As well as beautiful art and music. 🎉

Such well composed and clear worldview, packed with so much wisdom and insight. The interconnectedness of the systems of life on Earth, and beyond, is the new knowledge of the future humanity. We're human kind, we're individuals and part of bigger organisms of our cultures and civilizations, and we're part of the whole organism of the eco system as well. The most amazing is how rapidly our consciousness evolves. We become more and more aware of the small details in the big picture and our place in it. Human consciousness rapidly expands and deepens in our understanding. I can only imagine the profound knowledge and wisdom of future generations. 😊

I once lived in Santa Barbara. I volunteered to work at one of the historic Victorian houses that this lady had bought and was holding Angel seminars in. The bathrooms were huge with chairs so people could sit and chat with whoever was taking the bath. Off the bathroom would be a balcony and I was told that was the sleeping balcony for summer when it was so hot. WELL I live in Texas now in a brand new house and it's one story and there's definitely no sleeping balcony and there's no balcony at all because it's one story! IT got so hot this last summer and I was sweating so much and my sheets were so soaked that I broke out of course in little bumps on my skin. SO I went outside on what was the patio which is enclosed on three sides by the house and it was perfect ☺️ The weather was perfect and I'm still trying to figure out how I can sleep out there come next summer and feel safe enough because although of course the fence is locked, anyone could jump over, though people don't tend to at this point anyway. I just think we need to design houses with sleeping balconies or with inner courtyards. One lady I met in Florida said her husband bought her a house that had an inner courtyard with a swim pool even although she hated to swim! SHE was Cuban and she just didn't understand how lucky she was to have found this American guy to give her that but so it goes. I think she was from the wealthy classes and maybe part of the first onslaught of Florida by Cubans who actually wore accustomed to a lot and not impressed by much. BE that as it may, a house like that would be fantastic because you'd feel safer when sleeping.

Very well done. Only complaint is the lack of any concrete solutions to the Petro-conomy i.e. Zero Point Energy which is a scientifically valid, proven and sustainable alternative to oil that would completely remake how all of us live, work, commute, eat, etc... And as this documentary focuses on, what would we then turn our attion to so we can fulfill our inner wants, needs and desires... It all starts at home though as Jeff Bridges asks at the end: What can I do, sustainably, in my lifetime to be a part of the solution in saving the planet and not being a blind participant in needless consumerism and planned product obsolescence? Very, very challenging, I just know I can do more...

I don't think it starts at home at all. That's how they've justified policy inaction for decades. Cfc lightbulbs and heat pumps. To depend on the home we must require global behavioral change. That will never happen. Policy makers cooked paradise with endless inaction, paid by those who benefit the most.

If the whole world, especially realizing just how small we truly are in this wonderful universe, cannot realize that the earth is crying out in exhaustion, from getting pounded and impacted literally 24/7:365 since man started runnin' the show around here, I honestly don't know how the hell we can't realize we are one weather we like it or not. Maybe the earth will simply stop spinning for us, as half the world would be plunged forever into darkness never to see the modern workday again....if we don't act as one here, real quick, it will be too late. I remember when they had documentaries like this on regular tv. And we had shows about animals and how to treat them....does anyone remember those? I'm exhausted. 4:44 Emotions are not counter-productive to society....the ways we acknowledge or avoid them can be counter-productive. Emotions are messengers and we can use them to better understand ourselves and each other, and direct ourselves towards peace and contentment. I think the real problem is that people lack emotional intelligence and are too lazy to do anything about it....and there are new companies every year looking to profit from humanity's lazy nature. So yeah, laziness is the only real problem with humans.

Part of your comment reminds me of a “parable” about the “two wolves inside each of us”…. The “good” wolf, versus the “bad” wolf…. And the question, “which one wins out in the end?” It is the one that you feed. There are really only two emotions…. Love, and fear. Everything else that we call emotion…. Actually derives from these two. Empathy comes from love…. Hate comes from fear…. And so on. Emotions are not “good” OR “bad”…. But you have to decide which you want to feed. Laziness is a huge problem in the human condition. We are too lazy to decide for ourselves which emotion to feed. We think it’s easier to let someone else decide for us. That’s why SO MANY of us are living in fear these days. Such a shame, such a waste… People need to realize how powerful they are…. Live in love, give in love, the world will be better.

@@ashtree3006 ~ Excellent.. because, as it is written: “God is Love,..” 1st John 4:16 (KJV) As they say: it’s love that makes the world go round. To realize the difference between what’s positive and what’s negative; what’s constructive and what’s destructive; the yin and the yang ☯️ of the universal paradox where change is a constant despite the definition of a constant being something without change; and to then choose to make positive, constructive change is to grow out of ignorance and into knowledge and wisdom which some have decided against, but whose end shall be according to their deeds and not for us to judge. We are, indeed, all precious in His sight. Blessings to you, my dear friend. 🙏🏽
