This documentary needs to be picked up by every media outlet! Not only is it entertaining and informative, but it is also relatable to everyone, on or off Facebook. As a non-user myself, I was so happy with the ending! Thanks for staying truly (traditionally?) social and inspiring others to stay personally connected to one another!

Boomer here. When I was in 2nd / 3rd grade, we had “show and tell” day every so often. Bring something to class, show it, and tell about it. Usually something you were proud of or could kind of brag about. FB is just a giant show and tell - everyone bragging about themselves and their wonderful lives. Haven’t been on there since 2017.

Even though I’d rather not use Facebook, it’s become pretty essential for my job as a teacher. It’s one of the easiest ways for us to connect with our students and keep them updated. Whether it’s sharing announcements, class activities, or answering questions, Facebook makes communication so much more convenient. It’s also great for collaborating with fellow teachers and even parents. While I might not love using it personally, I can’t deny how helpful it is in keeping everyone on the same page.

2:00 The kid asks in a very authoritative voice: ""why don't you let me on Facebook, it BETTER BE a good reason"" I hear these kids talking to their "fathers" like this and worse in public and I just look bc the dad is normally to blame. Well, that's the problem right there, but I guess his dad is too close to see the problem. His kid talking to him LIKE THAT, no way!! Dads like this one want to be friends with kids way before they want to be parents. There is no way a dad can ever convince a kid like this one that it is good for him, it has to be "because I am older and I am you father and I actually know better, and I say no" But hey, keep being their friend before a father.

That's a great observation. Thank you for sharing! Also: You are right. Parents are not on this earth to aim at friendship with their children when they are underage. You can aim at friendship, when they are adults, but not when they are minors and your job is to protect them, guide them and help them to develop their pre-frontal cortex.

You can even see the still childish tone and manner of the FATHER on the rest of the video, too cool, too loose taking to younger kids on Facebook, like he wants to behave like they do... win the end, he seems like he is willing to do anything to be accepted by those KIDS, and also for his video to turn out the way he already wanted it to be. Arguing like that with what seems to be a 4-5 year old kid is just unreasonable, and there must be some other words to describe it, like neoteny-behavior?? that word is normally referring to facial retention of child features in the adult, but in this case is the retention of childish behavior and ideas in the adult.
@ggrthemostgodless87137 күн бұрын
@@Umroh-ew4gh It is neoteny-behaiour... though that word normally refers to juvenile or childish facial characteristics retained in the adult person. In the cartoon series South Park, CArman's mom is always doing this leveling down with him, talking to him in tone and manner as if asking him permission for what she is asking him to do.

The child is smart, but in my view, he is still a child. He is still vulnerable and there is a whole world of negative things in the internet that he is not prepared for: Let's cite a few: cyberbullying, stalking, financial scams, phishing, identity theft, fake profiles of girls interested in him (part of criminal rings), pedophilia, overt sexual advances from other tweens/teens he may/may not know, radicalization online, etc, etc, etc He does need a parent. Intelligence alone will not suffice, especially when those on the other side have advanced degrees, control algorithms and possess AI tools to exploit his vulnerabilities...
