Definitely think the transitional wall is perfect for the artwork - fits nicely! Not sure you really have to worry about adding anything below it but the half circle console table behind your couch could look interesting possibly if it doesn’t stick out far. I like the black detail in the table but the wallpaper seems like it overpowers . The only drawback to this is when you sit on your couch you won’t see your gorgeous new artwork! If you did hang next to your TV I’d change/move the three little framed pieces above the TV. And maybe add more more gold framed pieces for a salon style : gallery wall vibe but that’s could require more shopping?! Unsure anyways I loved the antique mall visit and love what you took home!! I am in accord with most everyone else. The painting needs to live on the transitional wall. I also think the large tray should sit on the existing side table. I just found your channel a few weeks ago and have been binge watching since. I’m 72 and finally retired last year and am hoping to get an apartment in the co-op building my son lives in. I'd say the 3rd option for the painting! I also like your idea of splitting the two trays between your coffee and side tables. As you said, the second area by the window is a bit too narrow to let it breathe. With the first option, the warmer tones of the painting (and especially the frame) ties in well with the glass vase but feels like a contrast to the neutral black of the console, tv, and triptych. Having both warm pieces on the same side makes the space feel divided in two instead of expanded.

Great finds! I’m another vote for the wall by the kitchen. That’s such a beautiful painting and it needs space to breathe and really be appreciated. The other locations, there are too many other contrasting things that would compete with it. It also echoes your wallpaper beautifully there.

Hi. I would push the TV and what it is sitting on to the middle of that wall. Put the 3 small pictures that are currently sitting above the TV into the next room and hang them one under each other, going downwards singularly, instead of across as they are now. Then the lovely new flower picture hang to the left of the TV, so it looks balanced in that room. I love the new flower table placed next to the couch. The current marble one, pop into another room, possibly to the right of the TV. Have fun! Merry Christmas from New Zealand.

What if you put the painting and side table that's behind your couch in your entry way? The side table is a landing zone for necessities to leave. And the yellow roses symbolize friendship, yet roses themselves represent protection because of the thorns. So, you're welcoming friendly, yet protective energies into your home with that art piece. Also, putting a plant between the entry way and your living space is a great way to help break up, yet allow the energies to flow around around, being energetically filtered by the plant.

I would consider hanging the two trays from the side table on the smaller wall by the window. Maybe the smaller one on top and the bigger one underneath. They would tie into the large floral on the wall by the kitchen. Just found your channel and loving it!

That would look so good, but there's hardly any room in that little hallway to the kitchen, so the side table would jut out too much and be in the way when I'm walking. So if I do find anything, it'd have to be verrrry thin haha

I like option 3, the transitional wall, best. It's the perfect size. The other wall is way too small, as you noted. It just seems awkward there. And next to the TV makes the blacks clash. The console and TV are a cool toned black, and the painting has warm toned blacks. It just doesn't look right. On the transitional wall, it picks up on the warmth and colors of the flowers on the other side of the opening to the kitchen as well. I love what you decided to do with the trays from the side table. But if they don't end up working out, remember that they could also be hung on the wall as art. And if you do decide on the transitional wall for the new art piece, what do you think about a black lace swag above the painting that trails down the sides? It would add interest to the wall, but not stick out from it and block your entry to the kitchen. You could also do something with wall mounted candelabras or sconces. I'm sure you'll make it amazing, whatever you decide! That painting was made for you.

When placing a fabulous piece near the TV the eye will be distracted when trying to focus on the program. I move pieces around and live with it for awhile. Sometimes what I see resonates within the soul, and when it doesn't, I move the piece to another location until it does, which is fun for me. The heart will let you know.

Love that idea and considered it myself, but that small hallway area into the kitchen is a lot more narrow than it looks in the video. So if any kind of console table could go against that transitional wall, it would have to be super thin! Even the small console table behind my couch sticks out too much. I think I might just be okay with nothing under the painting, if I put it there!

I totally vote for the transitional wall! And I don't think you necessarily have to have something under it - it's a transitional wall - putting something on the floor would break up the flow. I mean, I see it like a gallery wall - paintings in galleries look fine without things under them - at least to me! What could look good there, however, would be the small table you have behind your couch, but I doubt you want to move your whole room around for the one painting!

Haha yeah it's funny how one piece can potentially cause a whole domino effect in a room 😅 The challenge is there's barely any space for anything substantial against that transitional wall... even the console table behind my couch would jut out too much and get in the way. So we'll see!
