I have the 22 Autobahn, and I love it!! Honestly, you can't go wrong with any trim. But, I love my heads up display, wireless android auto, and full keyless entry! Also, the light bar in the front is really cool too. I personally prefer the GTI over the R. The performance is plenty, and I really like the grill and the foggers much more than the Golf R! All in all, the Mk8 is fantastic!

I have a 22’ SE 6MT and love it. Unitronic 1+ SouthBend S3 clutch holyshift kit Milltek Race Uni intercooler APR hoses MST intake Racingline Springs 19x8.5 Tiguan R wheels with PS4s Golf R wing 034 dogbone inserts And other minor mods Car is a little beast and FUN!! Kings Red BEST COLOR!!!!!!

The DCC, for me, is a must have option. I have a GTI with it and. GLI without. I believe it’s only available on the Autobahn and the, yet to be introduced, Anniversary edition of the S.

40th anniversary in canada which is based on the autobahn is the best trim.

Not worth the extra 5k for 19" wheels, DCC and some stickers.

@r3games1985 coilovers, wheels and tires are about that cost, if not more. Don't need to buy em this way. Just lowering springs and I'm set.

Hmm that’s a tough one. Since 2023 S comes with the upgraded headlights I’d still stick with the S model.

@r3games1985 That's awesome. Good for you. I got a 23 Gti 40th anniversary. The Adaptive dampers make such a big difference in the ride quality and the extra wide sticky tires that came with really make a big difference in 0 to 60 and a back road

So glad my 23 GTI-S has the IQ headlights. My S is definitely better than the SE. I don’t see how a sunroof, nav, bigger infotainment screen, leather (with cooled) or keyless entry is worth another $8k more than the $31k I paid for the S. Now if the SE and Autobahn split the difference in power between the stock GTI and R, then maybe it would be worth the extra. If my dealer gets a 40th GTI-S, I’d probably trade mine for it. 🤘

My 2022 gti se was $ 34,500 so nowhere near 8k more. You get the Harmon kardon option as well if you can find it, wireless CarPlay and the wireless charging pad, adaptive suspension, and then the sunroof, infotainment screen, and keyless and nav. That’s a lot for 3,500 dollars more than the s trim.

23 GTI-SE are going for $37-38. I don’t think any dealer is going to sell a 23 R 20th anniversary at MSRP. Dealerships are calling other dealers about their allocation of R’s and offering them $15k above MSRP. Less than 100 are coming to America.

Is the exhaust the X-Force with the Varex smartbox? or juste the normal one without varex. Want to put that one on mine but debatting if ill go with the varex option to quiet it down when i want to

Non-Varex. I figured if I got Varex it would probably be left in full open all the time anyway. When you're not really getting into it it's not obnoxious loud and I have it without the resonator currently so it can be tamed down by installing it which X-Force provides with the system.
