I got back into Darktide for this update. I haven't played it in a long time, and it is my new favorite game after I burned out on Space Marine 2. Your videos really help me out. I didn't know this game allows mods for a co-op game, but it's mostly QoL. All your class builds videos are so helpful, especially to a brain-dead player like myself who wants to have fun & be beneficial to my team.

"Guarantee Weapon Swap" so that is why I see all those streamers swap weapons back and forth in an instant, while I often need several tries to swap my weapon! It's so frustrating having a horde crash into you while having your gun out, desperately trying to get your blade out to block and just seeing your gun pop up again.

@@vahnayasaki6989they make you crash if you dismantled a weapon and then went to click on consecrate or other weapon modification option in the menu because you didn’t select a new weapon and the game had still selected the missing one you just deleted. if you look carefully you’ll notice the weapon stat part of the screen disappears when you delete the weapon in hadron menu so trying to modify the weapon while not “refreshing” by selecting a new weapon to midify it will make you crash

This doesn't work for me :( I followed all the steps. Fixed mod loader and the framework, added my mods in the mods folder and wrote them all into the txt file. When I boot the game I get an error for each for sayin "a nil value" and then nothing in-game, no mods options or anything. EDIT: found the issue. The "dmf" folder from the framework download needs to be put into the mods folder, not the base game folder. I don't think you mention this in your video, had to find it in the read me file.

Mod now, most mods will be fine as this update is just a new map and mode. Mods cannot affect or corrupt files that are stored server side like characters etc, that’s part of Fatsharks rules for mods.

I just installed scoreboard and found out my crit-knife zealot was getting insane numbers of overkill damage. Apparently I can't tell when the guy is dead and I do an extra hit. Might need to install health bars to learn how to stop that.

The Overframe builds are mostly bad :P There are some really good ones hidden there done by some creators but lots of them are outdated unfortunately ;/Awesome to meet another WF player that also plays Darktide!

Low end gamer here, I recommend "More Graphics Options" for easily turning down some graphics settings below the minimum the ingame options menu lets you normally do and "Disable Screen Effects" for disabling certain effects that noticeably drop my frames- like being on your final wound and the vet's executioner stance.

I did all of this and the mod loader and framework are working. I even installed numericUI and that is also working. However, 3 other mods I installed are not working whatsoever. animation_events, scoreboard and true_level. Are these also causing issues for others?

To provide additional information, when going into the mod settings in-game, the 3 listed mods dont even appear as mods installed. It only shows numericUI. They were added to the mod load order and I made sure Darktide was patched after installing them.

Mod load order. Animation events has to be before scoreboard. Also check you spelled the names exactly right in your mod load order file

got the game a week before the update and have been enjoying it so gd much, and was about to get serious about aurics until i watched an auric run on yt and discovered the modding scene. one thing i worry about is whether the mods are quick to become outdated and whether there are any no-no mods and stuff like that. ive seen hud mods and qol stuff so far

Did you type all the mods into your mod load order txt? Check that they are unzipped and in the right directory? I would just watch again and pause at each step.

How much of a headache when the game updates and mods become incompatible? That happen often? And if so, how do you normally handle it?

Not much. It has to be a BIG update to break mods. The recent patch was the biggest for a year and I only had to turn off a few mods. Mostly ones that aren't needed after the changes. A few others needed updates that came a few days later and the Nexus site shows you when an update is available.

you are probably not unpacking the zip files you downloaded. you cant just drag them into the mod folder you have to extract all first

Make sure you unzipped the files you put in the mods folder etc. probably easiest way is to install the first 2 i talk about, then launch and make sure there’s no issues before adding more

there is a 'toggle-darktide-mods' in both the mods folder AND the darktide folder. Make sure you are using the one in the Darktide folder, NOT the mod folder

Mods are all client-side meaning they only affect your game. Only you can see things like weapon skins and enemy hp. So yes.

@ Thanks for the suggestion! I dont use that mod cuz in my experience it tends to break the game. For what ever reason, redownloading the Darktide Mod Loader did it for me. Hope this helps anyone else having issues. Big fan of your builds btw! I am currently using a couple of them :D

How do u get white rarity weapons to level up and reach the max perimeters? I leveled up a white with good max stats thinking if I leveled it up and then empowered it up then it would reach the potential. But the weapon would up being very sub par

The max is 4 80s and one 60 or anything that adds up to 380

​@@kinggrimmjow8980It tells you before you level it up what the fully leveled stats will be. It gives you two numbers for each stat at the beginning. The second number is what you'll end up with when it's fully leveled. If you inspect the weapon, then hover over each of the stats, you can see the bonuses each stats will provide. These bonuses will give two numbers as well on the far right side, the left one tells you what the lowest possible bonus is and the right one tells you what the bonus is if the stat is maxed out at 80. Some bonuses don't change much depending on the stat, other bonuses are greatly influenced by the stat.

Do a search on 'dump stat' for the weapon you are interested in, and that would be the lower number stat.
