Hi, could you possible do a tutorial on how to mod and make PBR texture on a default x-plane 11 model with substance painter?

Biggest issue would be converting the model from the X-Plane format to one that could be loaded by a 3D modeling program. Once you do that, everything else is the same as I've shown in the other videos. I don't know of an existing application capable of doing that. Everything I know of is from 3D model to XPlane and not the other way around. You'd have to write a custom importer in whatever program you want to use. The good news is that the X-Plane format is very easy to understand and it wouldn't be terribly difficult to do.

Great, thank you for the tutorial, is it possible to make custom polys with this?, Also, does blender capable of baking normal and specular maps combined, or i need to use external software?, and if so, what free software do you recommend?

You can create any kind of polygonal object, just remember that it will be flattened, the vertical component is ignored. So if you build something that is vertical, it will all be squashed down onto the terrain, which can cause strange results. You can bake normal maps in blender if you are using geometry from a higher resolution object onto a lower resolution object. You can use applications like Photoshop or Gimp to combine the channels to create the normal map if you don't have access to substance painter.

@@GeorgeLecakes Thanks for the information, I know how to bake from high to low poly, but the steps to combine normal and specular, that is what I don't know, Can you elaborate more on this using Gimp?, me for example, i do it all in blender, but the only texture that I can't understand is combined normal/specular, do you have the time to show me how to combine the channels with Gimp, I don't have access to photoshop, and thanks in advance.

For X-Plane? At the moment its not on my radar. The project I was working on ended last month. I may do follow up work in 1 - 2 months and if I do anything further with X-Plane I'll make some videos.
