It is because he a low body fat percentage. You will look ripped without clothes but with clothes normal, maybe some broad shoulders. Better than having bulging muscles imho. Looks more natural and aesthetically pleasing.

You could for instance see men wearing yellow gloves with a navy sports jacket, gray/blue striped socks, khaki pants, gray hat and a multicolored woven wool overcoat (in gray).

One thing i have a problem with is that 1955 has a very greaser inspired look when in actuality this style is more of a subgenre and not the norm. The actual style of that era would've been very similar to 1940s

In the meantime, the 50s was the decade of "cool" when jazz and pops music a la Chet Baker and Miles Davis went chill, college kids made the scene at the coffee house wearing black slacks with pullover black tops and the occasional black beret. In England, the Mod boys laughed at the greasers pictured here and showed up at their gang rumbles looking like Sinatra about to do a set. "100 Years of Fashion" REALLY goofed with the 1955 segment.

jose bocalan "Teen" wasn't much of a consideration until the mid 1900s, and then not a big deal until towards the end of 1900s. Further back you go, the more 'small adult' they were and were treated as (to sometimes horrific-for-today degrees).

Dirty dan 1995-2005 was 'people will buy anything, just make anything happen and boost the ads everywhere'. Internet increasingly brought more choice and discussion and forced some diversification and challenge. Not that its all great - a downside of today is that we're derivative to the max.

Dirty dan I must be at that age where I'm completely oblivious to what's cool and what's not because 1995 and 2005 didn't look as bad to me as everyone is saying. The jeans were kind of a lame choice but I remember much worse being worn in 1995. 2005 didn't seem bad at all to me. In fact, I thought 2015 looked worse then 2005 (Not that 2015 was bad at all). Now, the 1980's on the other hand... What the hell were we thinking?

AGInfinity Dog My dad was a very successful racing driver in the 70s/80s, so there's plenty of pictures of him dressing like that in the 70s - that's how I know, I didn't have to be born in the 70s to look at pictures.

That’s because the 1950s was when youth culture exploded. With the war over and people having money to spend and places to go, teenagers were able to develop their own style and culture for the first time versus before when the term teenager didn’t exist and you were seen as a mini adult.
