I love how you made the three main water spray walls and the spray effect on top of that again. In the finished photo sessions at certain angles, it truly looks amazing Kathy. A very realistic 3D photo as a 360' splash that is frozen in time. Girl, you blow my mind with your finished dioramas and modelling skills for producing them.

Hello Kathy. UV resin is a fascinating medium. This turned out well. Although the froth looks great and enhances the splash, it was a pity to cover up those magnificent resin splashes. But it’s for the overall effect, isn’t it. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing. Bye.

Very nice Kathy. Great tutorial on river beds and water. I might use that approach on the river on my layout when the time comes. How do those products go against polystyrene river banks. Some resins go opaque over time I've heard, from other KZbinrs. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks. Monique from Brisbane
@KathyMillatt3 жыл бұрын
Hi Monique. I’ve not tried against polystyrene I’m afraid. I’ve had resin yellow on me but never go opaque. As I do muddy water a lot, the yellowing doesn’t bother me too much. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the tip on the tall grass. I'm trying to do a field right now with about 3' tall grass and it's been trial and error with a lot of failures. Looks like I may give this a try.. but I want the look of an unkept field that gets bailed once a year.. any ideas other than what you did?
@KathyMillatt3 жыл бұрын
Layers help a lot plus knocking it around a bit before the glue is dry. I’ve done a few videos on grass.
@tomatoes38 ай бұрын
Interested in the acetate edging you used , what thicknesses was it please Kathy.
@KathyMillatt8 ай бұрын
Whatever I had to hand. I have used everything from thin to thick acetate sheet but around 2-3mm is generally thick enough and easier to snap. It really does depend on your diorama and resin pour volume though.
@NeilWillmoreАй бұрын
Amazing work, what ratio do you use when thinning the glue to spray it, as every glue I have tried has to be so reduced to allow it to spray it doesn't work as glue anymore,
@KathyMillattАй бұрын
It depends on the glue and how thick it is. I often end up at 1/6 glue/water to spray but drip 1/3 on afterwards to fully glue it.
@KathyMillattАй бұрын
Matte mod Podge is my preferred for thinning now.
