This is an easy to make kit from Walthers, and fits in a small space. It can service a little or a lot of cars. Available in N and HO Scale.
I feel that seeing a prototype, especially from the drone, helps inspire layout making.

We have a similar industry in our local industrial park. It's a good bit larger, I think it's an old facility that reopened a couple of years ago. They use a Trackmobile, too, to move around the cars, which are all two-bay covered hoppers. Not the larger ones like in your other video because cement is so heavy. Thanks for showing how easy it is to model!

Glad to see a new video from you! I have hoped everything is well with you and yours. I was fortunate enough to meet with you a while back at your home, buy some scenic supplies and tour your layout and enjoy some good conversation. Even though I'm an O gauge modeler, I have picked up so many great tips from your videos. I've even been able to foster a new N gauge modeler at my work, first suggesting he watch your videos as a good starting point. Thank You again for all your information you've provided us past, present and future! Best regards, Mike from Wilmerding, PA.

So this year i dismantled and sold about 90% of the layout and moved to Ross township with Fiancé. Moving was exhausting but things are slowly settling down and i can at least film in an area. Maybe a module one day but no plans for a layout like Jeannette house

Great video on the cement solos. It can be scratch built-the cement silos can be empty carpet fresh containers. I use them as my diesel fuel tanks on my .odel railroad and will be using bendable straws for pipes. Empty carpet fresh containers can be used for grain silos, makes a good G scale tank cars as well as a O scale tank car.

Nice video and great to see you making new content. I know how hard it is to juggle the real world and other interest, while still getting videos shot, edited, and produced to put up. Take all the the time you need in between, we can wait. It was a great video and neat industry, especially seeing that Wye in the trackwork. Great catch as usual! Stay safe out there.

THANKS DJ!!! So Happy that you made this Vlog! I’m sorry I only found your channel in late 2023. I had been away from Model Railroading for 30 years. For some reason, KZbin suggested I look at Roy Smith’s Layout Channel. I SAW YOU WITH ROY SMITH IN HIS VISIT TO ALTOONA VLOGS AT THE 2023 N SCALE WEEKEND AT THE BLAIR COUNTY CONVENTION CENTER. Just so happens that I live in Blair County and I’m only 2-3 miles away from the Convention Center. I attended the N Scale Weekend this year (2024) on Friday around 11:00 am. I would like to have met you and also had the hope to meet Roy, but he had passed away about 2 months before the show. In one of your following Vlogs, you announced your intention to step away from Model Railroad video production. I, along with many others, surely was disappointed to hear that. But, Life has a way of things popping up. I heard something like this: If you want a good laugh, Tell God you have a plan to do something. 🤔 BUT, THANK YOU: You, along with Roy and perhaps even God have given me the inspiration and push to return to the Hobby after my 30 year hiatus. It’s my intention to now go back to my basement area of 13’ by 22’ at age 69 and enjoy the KATO Unitrack to produce a freelance layout situated in an area similar to that modeled by Roy. Another challenge being for the last 5.4 years, being on Chemo for 2 weeks and then off for 2 weeks. It’s been a real drain physically and will be hard to get under that amount of Benchwork and do the wiring. I might need an assistant to get the DCC up and running. I’d like to do DCC READY Motive Power Engines. NSmodeler24 seems to have one of the best sounding systems that I’ve heard. For systems, at soon to be age 70, I’d like something simple to understand and easy to install.

Just an FYI this facility doesn't make ready mix concrete, you can tell because it doesn't have any aggregate handling equipment. It's what is know as a cement terminal. Train cars come in from the Cement plant and load trucks for distribution to the Concrete plants .......I would say this terminal even has equipment for loading (maybe unloading) barges.

Pretty cool, I wish there was more content, KZbin or elsewhere, that showed the prototype of these kits in action, or more about them. We have an old power and water building in my town that was build probably in the 30s or 40s and was used until the 70s or so. I’d like to find a way to learn more about how that worked inside, how they would have use coal and other stuff and these small town plants.

@djstrains the tracks with the signs is all spot and pull by a nightime local out of conway the the industrial park comes out and moves cars to their industries there is actually half a dozen or more different customers spotted by that trackmobile we can bring as many as 40+ cars in one night for them ranging from cement, plastic pellets, chemicals, and steel the local then pulls all the out bounds out onto the siding and shoves out to the main to work the next industrial park just a couple hundred yards down where it's mostly anthracite coal and some kind of milling compound company.

@djstrains loads sit on the "O" track next to the main. An extra crew out of conway brings new stuff down to be stored on the O until the plant wants them. The inside track is 3 spots and is spot specific making a 3 car industry into an all evening switch. Also the scrap yard further back on the O gets loads too so you have to shuffle the cars around to spot them as well.
