Thanks! I like this method cause it's easy to swap out different parts of the staircase to try out different styles. MASH is great that way.

Hello! To export the MASH, do I have to delete history and UV unwrap, or can I just make the UVs for the reference object, and they will all copy? I want to make an archway with this method, but I don't know how will I be able to export it to texture it. Any tips?

You can certainly make some clothing using Maya's nCloth feature. For details though you will need a program with some decent sculpting tools. Blender is a free option. It depends on the look you require I guess.
