Modeling in maya ❌Modeling in Houdini✔
@varunthapliyal8960 Жыл бұрын
Hey, what are the advantages of modelling stuff in Houdini rather than in a modelling focused softwares such as blender and maya ?
@ModelerHoudini Жыл бұрын
Key Advantages: 1. The ability to stay within Houdini and focus on its interface. 2. Leveraging procedurality. That means at any stage, you can select any node in the history and edit it. Moreover, you can insert new operations in the middle of the tree. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5zGmayufL6HsKM 3. Houdini processes geometry data faster than Blender and Maya.

Depend from salary! If listern Houdini fans for them pay more :)))) In 3d Max and Maya that can create easy without any addition plug ins In Blender need plug in Bridge in old version New I do not know exactly

basically being able to go back, trace, and re-edit, re-adjust procedurally in every step of how a model was made through nodes.

Does Modeler 2023 work with Houdini 20.5? If not is there 2024 version coming?

I have a question. I am already using 2023 modeler. do I need to purchase it separately to use soft boolean? I know that a simpler version is already in modeler, but I was wondering if this means that eventually the two tools will be combined in modeler or if I will have to purchase them separately?

Modeler does not have a simplified version of Soft Boolean. It is more like its own wrapper around the standard Boolean node. Soft Boolean is acquired separately and is not part of Modeler. Some people want to use Soft Boolean without the need for full modeling, while others need full modeling without Soft Boolean.

@@ModelerHoudini Thanks for the quick reply:) I guess I'll have to buy soft boolean then. Thank you so much for always making attractive and necessary functions effective! Keep up the good work :)
