For MASH to work properly your scene units must be set to cm NOT meters and your geometry's transform units must all relate to centre of grid rather than anywhere else that you may have combined or froze transformations last. I originally worked to meters but changed it back to CM hence why grid is so small.

Nice Method of explaining. It's a pleasure to watch your videos. If all teachers were like you. 👍

Thank you. Wow! You're the first person I have heard of to go from Blender to Maya. Knowing both softwares will definitely help you in your career. Good luck.

Really nice video! Just wanted to point out that the disintegrating link(the black cylinder fitted on the bullet) follows the bullet and it attached to it but the squares outside only guide the bullet and are not attached to the bullets in any way. They're just there to guide the links.

Thanks for the video. What happens the original bullet assembly? Can you delete it or do you hide it or something?

Can you even parent the curve onto the rig then rotate the tread? Without MASH messing up the placement of the bullet.

Unfortunately when I tried to do this it messed up as soon as the vehicle rotates (translate is ok). I spent hours trying through parenting, groups and picking through all the options. It's very disappointing that MASH does not handle this well, unless I am missing something silly. To be honest, I just use MASH for modelling purposes (bullet belts and tank tracks) as well as abstract motion graphics. If I was animating it for game/film/for sale I would spend a few weeks learning advanced rigging skills to learn how to do this kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z37FhKOIeJeZn8U Note that that rig costs $250 and the video is just a guide on how to use it. You could try this kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIu5nn9-pbqpsKM assisted by this: simonpaulmills.com/collections/store/products/curve-path

what, and the tank runs on flower oil and leaves a trail of food and water for the homeless? What was the point of that little disclaimer at the beginning? xD

Basically I can get fired from being a teacher if a student uses this as evidence that I promote weaponry in a school environment. Teachers these days are terrified of students that don't like them digging up / making up random crap about them. Annoyingly any videos that I make to do with weaponry seem to get 4-8x the number of views as my other videos. I shall use your flower oil quote next time I make a video about modelling a tank!

@@CGITutorials ah fair enough, I was taking the piss but I do see your point now, bloody school rules! Thanks for taking the time to reply to my somewhat rude comment :)
