Deadzone Unboxing & Review - A 28mm Skirmish Sci-Fi game from Mantic Games - 2024

Recently the MfA crew paid a visit to Mantic HQ up in Nottingham. Whilst we were there talking to Ronnie we played a demo of this skirmish Sci-fi game, and blagged ourself a review copy. In short - it is a great starter set and a cracking little game.

Deadzone is a fantastic system and I wish more channels covered it. Also looking forward to the Halo adaption that uses the similar rules. Think you guys would enjoy Firefight as well, since you enjoyed One Page Rules but weren't enjoying the Grimdark Elephant in the Room.

Deadzone is a fun game, although I've only actually watched it being played. I have the same great value starter box from a few years ago, but just after I bought it, Mantic brought out Firefight and I ended up using the figures and terrain from this box in my Firefight games (which are good fun too). Anyway, I would certainly watch you guys playing it, and seeing as I have all the models it might even inspire me to finally give it a go too!

Deadzone is fantastic, and the starter set is amazing value even at full RRP, Looking forward to the Halo version coming in autumn. GCPS not CGPS! Galactic Co-Prosperity Sphere, we dont want no Communist Galactic Prosperity Sphere :D

The Veermyn are excellent miniatures, I love these bad boys, especially the tunnel runners, which were not in that set. The army set includes them and a tunneler as well, which are a must have. Mantic is really smashing out the quality games, firefight, deadzone and their epic game now as well. You can get all three games for the price of a single GW game so grab them all and have fun.
