Nice build! Historically I was always disappointed that Airfix 'starter' kits actually required real expertise to handle the poor fit, which I suspect put off many new modellers. I also bought one of these Jeeps from that same store deal and was delighted with the excellent fit and detail. I do love the challenge of the Airfix 'classic' kits and I think Airfix have got their marketing spot on now... now buyers know what to expect.

Lovely little kit - but there is something missing from it. A small, but vital field modification that many jeeps found necessary after D-Day, when driving through the 'Bocage' country in Northern France. You will see pictures of jeeps with a piece of small gauge angle iron welded to the bumper, that reaches slightly higher than the top of the vehicle's windscreen, and angled slightly forward, and braced with wires on to the bonnet or mudguards. Why? Because retreating German troops strung wire across roads between trees, pulling it tight and securing it; invisible in low light or at night, it would easily kill a motorcyclist, even behead him if going fast enough. It would do the same to a jeep crew, and after several deaths, the modification was added to jeeps. It cut the wire, which could also mean an ambush was intended near where the wire was set. Any fine scale plastic rod can be used on your model, as long as it's taller than the windscreen, and is angled slightly forwards, and braced.

Very interesting. 3 Comments if I may: 1. Add a drop of white vinegar to the water you was the parts in and use a soap solution not washing-up liquid. 2 I usually paint tyres with a very dark grey. It looks more realistic than matt black. 3 Get a new cutting mat for filming. Small parts are not visible in the paint splodge camouflage 🤔

Hi there. How are you? When you asked for suggestions as to what we would like you to build on your channel, I immediately thought of conversions or even scratch builds of armoured and related vehicles from the Second World War. I have been a keen scratch and conversion since I was very young and have not seen anyone attempt either of these topics on any channel. Personally, I think that that this would provide a very interesting subject and may even catch on again.
