Waiting for my first order from Modelones, my hubby bought me a lamp and gel top and base coat set for Christmas, not knowing that they don't work with regular polishes. I decided to dip my toes into the gel polish world instead of returning them. After watching this, I'm wondering if gel thermals suffer from the same issue that regular thermal polishes have in that the color shift will go away after a while. Mostly out of curiosity as I don't own either type of thermals at this time and not sure I want to as I have short nails and almost always cold hands, lol.

You can, but you want to make sure that the regular nail polish is COMPLETELY dry before you use gel over it! Otherwise it could cause irritation.

My mom has a modelones set and when she’s applying it pools to the front or all in the back. Would you know why or how to fix that? Or have you noticed it pooling at all. I even tried to apply it and it kept pooling and gathering on the tip of the nail. Jw! 😊

Nice colors. I'm not a fan of gels as when i use gel base, gel colors, gel topcoats, it always ends up damaging my nails. Using gel topcoat usually make my regular nail polish last longer and does not damage my nails. However, I usually does not use gel topcoat also as I like to change my colors every 3 to 4 days..
