Love your videos, don’t love how you use the word “lying” at the end, only in the context of recent trending spike of antagonism against science, especially online/on this platform especially. You’re not lying, you’re simplifying for the purpose of understanding, which is utterly acceptable, and I appreciate, because an understanding of chemistry never came to me as easily as an understanding of other sciences. On another note, your explanation of the schrodinger model has left me with a lot of questions, in particular regarding absolute states of electrons when charged by photons (I came here from a series of videos trying to explain spectroscopy, in case that gives some context), but I evidently need to watch a little more before knowing the right questions to ask about either subject. Do you have a website that best describes which order to watch your videos? Is it just the order you uploaded them on KZbin? I’m starting to watch your playlists, but they seem to go back and forth in terms of level of understanding

I never knew that electrons buzzed around the atom like how you explained in the Quantum Mechanic Model! Very good explanation of how the electrons worked!
@DaVince2110 жыл бұрын
I vaguely remember... some of these concepts... The Bohr model was used in the classes I took to explain atoms, except I've been led to believe that's how atoms work and this is the first time I've seen orbitals at all (at least, I *think*... the material was difficult enough to learn already, even if I _did_ have an awesome science teacher). So thanks for clearing that up for me, like, ten years later. :P Will happily watch the rest of this series.

Great video. But one fact i wish you included in the video is that according to Quantum mechanics theory of atomic model , The electrons are not buzzing around like flies drawing those shapes, instead they are more like wave form and have an area of probability where the electron lies. when disturbed the electrons behaves like a particle , when undisturbed electrons behaves like a wave . That dual form of electron is what created curiosity and pushed scientists to experiment and think about adopting atomic model based on quantum mechanics theory which accommodates wave form . PS : this is my understanding about atomic model by reading articles and watching many videos.

Anil Sinha Rutherford said that electrons revolve around the nucleas continously. And classical physics suggests that if electron is revolving around the nucleas continously, it will emit energy. So, the orbit of the revolving electron becomes smaller and smaller until it would fall into the nucleas which would collapse the atomic structure. And, if electron is revolving around the nucleas continously it should form a continuous spectrum but a line spectrum is obtained. Bohr said that electron present in its own orbit does not radiate energy and he also explained the formation of line spectrum.

Hey Tyler actually the electrons are revolving according to the Rutherfords model of an atom. And it was discarded because a charged particle undergoing circular motion would accelerate and an accelerating particle looses energy. Hence, the electron would fall into the nucleus and the atom will collapse. BUT this does not happen. And you did not mention any of that stuff in YOUR VIDEO!!! IF I AM NOT WRONG !*#@##!!
