I know exactly what we’re going to get in southern New England: MORE RAIN and record breaking warm temperatures. Every single time, EVERY SINGLE TIME, it’s cold enough around here, we get zero precipitation. Every single time precipitation comes our way, it gets too warm and we get rain. We’re getting hammered with rain and wind today, expect more and more rain.
@shrimpanzee851021 күн бұрын
Well here’s the problem. Regular snow totals are soon to be wiped out for good, as I see any good amounts of snow are now a rare occurrence. This sucks for those dependent on it

Global warming plus the ocean water doesn't help either. The last time Southern Massachusetts got a good snowstorm, it was the year 2013-2014, the year we broke the snow record in New England. I don't think we'll ever see a real winter in Southern New England ever again.

Winter in Western Pennsylvania now: when it's cold, we get a few flurries. When it warms up, it rains like crazy. Then maybe get a snow shower and a dusting of snow on the back end when it turns cold again. Winter is a joke in Pittsburgh anymore!

We arent getting snowstorms in MD like we did in the eearly to mid 2010's.. Every low that tracks up the eastern seaboard is too warm to support a big snow setup. Its just too warm in this decade. Even since 2020 the winters have warmed up alot.

Here in Southwest VA, it started raining 12 hours earlier than expected, so there was no moisture when the temps dropped this afternoon. We got back from grocery shopping at 10:30 am. The temp outside was 54 degrees F. By 1:30 pm, the temp was down to 44 degrees, and it continued to fall throughout the afternoon. A near miss for the snow fall!

I hate south jerz/philly area, we used to get so much snow and now we’re lucky if we get maybe 6 inches total a year. So sad for the kids nowadays. I remember trenching home from high school in 2014 and almost getting frostbite from how much snow we had 😢

Pickens County, SC has been in the longest snow drought ever at 1059 days since measurable snow. Longest snow drought prior was 1937 to 1940 at 1042 days. We just don't have the conditions to get it anymore. Everyone wants to scream climate change; it has changed in our area definitely.

Yeah been very weird, obviously no scientific reason. Just coincidence. Most major winter storms have occurred on weekends too historically. But again, no science behind it.
