Amazing that it still sounds so fresh, don't think you could date it back to 1981 like a lot of other stuff from then. I got Cut Lunch on Casette in 82, still one of my favourites.

The Models had a unique sound and quirky, clever lyrics.

one of my favorite tracks by these guys and quite different to the sound they eventually took to that brought them big fame. this sounds more like Mental as Anything in style.

I'd never noticed that, but your observation is spot on!

@@jackfriend4u Pleasure Of Your Company was a natural progression from their early formative years. It's a fantastic album that still holds up today. It beats me why they took a big u-turn and went down the pop road. Sure, they were popular for 5 minutes with the Countdown crowd but then they faded into obscurity. I mean, they were good pop songs but to me they weren't Models songs. I think Big on Love was their last great song. Went and saw them live the other night and they were still pretty good.

Is that the late Maurie Fields at the bar ? Famous for stints on Hey Hey it's Saturday.

It’s not Maurie! When I first saw it I thought it was Johnny Raper! Lol

Why so short? Album version is 3'18"

Probably because this was a snip from an overall Cut Lunch clip

Used to hitch hike from Melbourne to Adelaide early 80’s. Used to frequent the Toucan club. Remember the black plastic that covered the walls.
