What is going on my mates!!! Today we are going to talk about a pop punk/emo band called Modern Baseball. Modern Baseball was/is on of my favorite bands of all time, but sadly they are no longer
In this video, I will touch on the many factors as to why Modern Baseball is never coming back in hopefully an entertaining informative way. I love Slaighter Beach, Dog and Modern Baseball so much, I hope that shines through in this video :)
Modern Baseball has written many classic records over the years that they have put out through Run For Cover Records. Those records are Sports, You're Gonna Miss It All, The Perfect Cast, and Holy Ghost

I’ve also heard from some people in that Philly scene that they (the other mobo guys) don’t really get along with Brendan, and were not happy they had to cancel two tours in a calendar year because he pulled out last minute. To elaborate, they weren’t mad he wasn’t mentally healthy, they were upset he didn’t take the correct steps to help his mental health, and in turn had to tease and screw over their fans twice. That was kind of the breaking point when they cancelled that last tour and made the announcement they were going on “hiatus.” And it makes sense. As much as you love your friends, if you constantly have to wrestle them to take care of themselves and are worrying about them, it’s not healthy for you, and sometimes for your own mental health, you have to remove yourself from that situation. You can care deeply about someone but still not want them in your life, and I think that’s where they got with Brendan sadly. I think he consistently wasn’t taking the right steps for himself, and the rest of those guys just couldn’t do it anymore.

I guarantee they'll play a show together again eventually. When you're young it doesn't seem likely, but when you're older you find that literally every band other that isn't the Beatles has reunited EVENTUALLY. Van Halen seemed impossible, it happened. Guns N Roses was out of the question, it happened. Talking Heads happened. Beatles probably would have happened to had Lennon not died. It's only been a few years. I'd get it if it were a band like Oasis where you have two psychos who hate each other, but there seems to be no bad blood here even if they don't hang out any more. And even in those aforementioned examples that did end up happening, there was a lot of bad blood and they happened regardless.

Lionties I’ve talked to people who know them all, and I’ve heard they don’t really get along with Brendan. That’s not really a guess, bands who don’t like each other don’t typically want to get back together lol.

@@mirraco323 There are plenty of bands who hate each other and still play together. The Stones and Aerosmith are easy examples of that. That point aside, I am just not ruling it out. I love Nate's ability to look deeper in to a bands collective history and make educated guesses about what they might do going forward. Disagreeing with his points just make the conversation richer. Also, MOBO leaving their label is strange but in agreement with the general theme of the video, I don't see MOBO getting back anytime soon. They most likely got to the end of their deal or got close enough to where as a band that's more or less breaking up can find a way out of their contract. You gotta figure that although some artist stay on on label for their whole career not all of them do. Still, none of this leads me to believe I won't ever see MOBO play again. I have seen Thursday, Thrice, Underoath and even dang Gun N' Roses(Slash and Axel Rose still hate eachother) regroup in my lifetime. Forever's a long time.
