MoBo is one of my favorite bands of all time. I saw them in concert multiple times, and each experience was truly magical. Since then I've never attended a show where every single person knew every single word of every song. It was unreal. I miss them so much.

It sucks I got into MoBo well after the end of there run, before the pandemic I was telling my helper about emo music which I was really getting into. I put on an emo mix on KZbin and the first song that came up was Fine, Great and I never resonated more to an opening chorus than "I hate worrying about the future 'Cause all my current problems are based around the past". I got so deep into them after that point and they helped me branch out further into the Midwest Scene without really being a midwest band per se (I'm not gatekeeping, they are to me) and once I learned they had been broken up for almost 3 years to that point I was sad and nostalgic for a band I had barely just learned about

You are so lucky. I live in Guatemala, where people don't really like emo music and also I was to young to experience the scene (born in 2006). But I am sure that now that I am a freshman in college, all this songs feel that were wrote for me even do i don't belong in that "Midwest emo culture"

Mobo’s music to me is the perfect embodiment of teenage/young adult angst. It’s written in a way where it’s easy to relate and connect to, while also having these weird and funny references that make them who they are. They are by far one of my favorite bands and all their music is top tier emo. ❤

one of the reasons why i love modern baseball so much is bc theyre from philadelphia just like me :-) such a joy to listen to a song and having a perfect picture in my head of what they’re describing

hit the nail on the head with the simplicity bit, mfs wanna use words like copacetic at the time and expect everyone to know what that means hahaha (no hate to knuckle puck tho i love that band)

I find it difficult to see why people loop Modern Baseball in with other pop punk and emo bands, it just feels straight up indie. I once called them “williamsburg basement core” lol, I can’t describe them

my theory is that it's mobo instead of moba because they're taking the ba part from ball and changing the vowel to prevent people from pronouncing it like "bah." if you think about it the ba in ball sounds more alike to the bo in mobo than to the ba in moba. also mobo is more fun to say.

The only thing less appropriate than using incorrect pronouns is correcting a stranger on behalf of another stranger's pronouns.

@itmeurdad nah, it's called being a decent person. No room in the scene for people like you, go back to Morgan Wallen.
