Darkblast being an instant makes for a really neat card. At 10:51 you could cast Darkblast on Electromancer in your upkeep, dredge it and then cast it again on the mancer to kill it

16:10 that is not a MTGO bug, it’s in fact the same in paper. Conflagrate for 0 has to have 0 targets. That because if you distribute something among “any number of targets” you can’t distribute 0 to something, has to be at least one. You can’t for example cast conflagrate for 0, target 4 phantasmal Images to kill them all, which would be possible if this rule was not in place

For what it's worth, giving your opponent Manamorphose and Past In Flames off of that Gifts Ungiven was correct in game 1 of match 2. Your opponent needed to have 4 mana to be able to play past in flames and cast some rituals to combo off, but they only had three mana because you gave them the cards you did.

As a filthy animal who grinds Storm; I personally think putting the Past in Flames and Manamorphose in the yard is usually the correct play as long as they have the mana to go off anyway as it draws them one less card and gives them one less cycle of graveyard casting. It's a minimal choice though. Casting Gifts is usually the end.

Always give the storm player the two rituals. If you give them the Past in Flames you give them the option of flashing it back again, and you have them saving mana to cast the first time. Giving them manamorphose is wrong because they get a free spell and a replacement card, and if they have a mana bear they net 1 mana. Putting the rituals in the yard can feel like the proper choice because you're denying them mana but it's really not because instead you gave them more resources.

That's not always true. It depends on whether you think the limiting factor on them storming off is "number of spells" or "amount of mana". Giving them Manamorphose and Past in Flames gives them the least amount of mana as they can't cast their rituals twice. That is usually the correct answer, however, if they have a ton of mana in pool and no cards in hand, giving them the two rituals would likely be correct.

Why has dredge not upgraded shriekhorn to perpetual timepiece yet? It lets you self mill 2 a turn for free and has another option to shuffle any number of cards from your bin to your library, mainly jellyfish and lands I'd assume

It's interesting, sure, but it's a 2 mana play. I think Horn is to give the deck more 1 mana plays prior to Loam or Cathartic. It's all about that curve.

I've been thinking it may be too late, you should make curse type of deck. Its stays in spooky flavor and I dont see people play it(I know enchantments are we but I love them.) I've been working on a list for a White&Black curse deck. Curious for protection can you use protection spell on your permanents as pseudo counters? I always tell people not to scoop as soon as storm starts comboing. I've had a storm player on MTGO once go "Oh shit I gotta go I'll let you have this one" scooped it up and left. Aaand as a storm player myself there is times where I need to desperately draw into gas so I start chaining spells with not plan or wincon and fairly often my opponents just scoops it up.

Past in Flames costs one more to flash back than it does to cast, but if you put it in the graveyard and give them a ritual in its place, they gain that one mana back being able to flash back the ritul. So, it literally doesn't matter where you put the past in flames if it's between it and a ritual, unless they can make 4 mana but not 5 right now. That just leaves the manamorphose. Leaving it in hand loses them one mana but gives them one card vs a ritual. Unless you've seen their hand to know they have a payload, I'd say it's more likely that they want the card to dig for a payload than they need the mana to cast another spell, considering there's more mana sources than payloads. Ah dang. The electromancer in play means rituals are even more mana. So that means keeping the Past In Flames in hand was correct, and keeping the manamorphose was a toss up between the value of two mana vs one card.
