Oh wow, that’s so cool. Nice to have you for sure then. Stumpy is a great guy and friend. I met him a few years ago in Kansas City. That was a memorable meeting. Did Stumpy mention me in a vid or a comment?

glad to see you doing woodworking full time. A lot of youtube woodworkers don't make projects for customers anymore, keep it up!
@rhwoodshop4 жыл бұрын
It’s good for project vids but can sometimes make things tight on making videos because projects can be monotonous so keeping videos fresh can be hard and it also makes me fall behind in getting my client jobs done. Not to mention that editing can take an entire day or an hour each day to complete. I will try to keep it up though. Thank You!!!

Very nice table. The tapered pedestal makes the whole project. It's a great design touch.

that 8/4 maple you had there...that's what I built my dining room table out of. With 2" think walnut ends of course. Not a single screw in it. 56 dowels, because I wanted to really make it hard on myself.

Sweet build! And I especially like the power curl of the 8/4 maple. I figure between that and the double layer ply, you must be getting ready for the World’s Strongest Man competition.

Thank you so much Bill I appreciate that. That sled is probably one of the best designs that I have found to use on a tablesaw. With the added touches that I have incorporated, it is certainly a workhorse

Yup I needed the track saw for this project to simplify the taper with compound cuts and it is the only new Festool tool I have. The domino and router were used. Thanks.

Omgosh! All the wives and girlfriends teleworking during this pandemic and dealing with "him" making every noise possible, while we're in meetings or phone calls! It's like having an extra child! LOL! 😅🤣😂 Thanks for the video, your personality made the video even better! I was looking for a video on how to build short plywood tables (like the Japanese tables) for an outdoor party (sitting on sheets and pillows). I definitely won't be making the one you made, that's way too fancy! At this point I'm just gonna get two pieces of plywood have my honey sand it down and use some cinder blocks as the feet and call it a day! No one's going to see how ugly the top is, I'm covering it with a tablecloths. 😅🤣😂 Thanks for all the tips though!

😆 🤣 too good. My wife is such a wonderful woman. She has been so strong working at home b/c I know it is very hard to do. Takes a lot of discipline. I’m glad this video gave you some ideas and I hope your build comes out perfect. Thank You!!!

Wow, that turned our really nice. Couple of questions if you don't mind. What kind of plywood did you use? What did you finish it with? Thanks Drew.
@rhwoodshop4 жыл бұрын
This was Baltic birch because it has a close resemblance to maple. I stained it with Minwax Provincial and sprayed a few coats of Sherwood high build precat lacquer and vinyl sealer.

Dude you really gotta get yourself a cyclone, or they have a similar type of separator at the home Depot (that's what I have.) It'll save you a lot of time and your shop vac. Just a thought friend.
@rhwoodshop4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I have thought about it. Unfortunately inside that assembly table I do not have room for a third item because it already holds my air compressor and vacuum. I am going to have to figure something out because it will give me a whole lot better suction then just a plain filtered vac.

Sorry about your loss. I'm assuming you lost a family member and they left you a fortune because you bought a festool.
@rhwoodshop4 жыл бұрын
🤣 . No loss in the family but thank you just the same. I just used profits from this table job to pay for it. Business expense, it’s tax-deductible. So far this has been the only Festool that I have bought brand new. All my others I have bought used. I did a lot of research on many different track saws and I was just not pleased enough, to buy anything but the Festool. I’m glad I did because it was super accurate to make all of these compound angle cuts.
