In today's video we are finishing the peak of our A-Frame house with wood mimicking the look of a beam and hidden cove lighting. The lighting and wood gives a modern yet rustic look to the ceiling while softly illuminating the interior of the house.

Sometimes it’s easier to make those bevel cuts by putting the 2x4 on the flat against the fence and just cutting it like a normal miter cut. You’ll almost never have to bevel the saw again

Little one is armed! Oh no, you all are in trouble now ;) Good work on that top section, and it came out nice. Really glad Jen-Weld came through for you like that, and that the windows are fixed. Be aware though we used similar lighting in a room in my dad's A-frame,(surprisingly same setup too) and had a lot of problems w/them, I ended up swapping it all out for different lights; but full disclosure, that was 12 yrs. ago..and I'm sure they improved them by now. Was really glad I made them accessible, as you did as well..great thinking. Looking very warm and cozy in there now!

Always good to see your kids, playing and working. I know they loved banging those beams. Ellie always keeping up with the boys but loving her mommy time. I think Ellie was playing her version of Jinga with the blocks. haha, Love this idea of the "centerpiece". The LED lights are used the same way in the van life and bus life community because they don't draw a lot of power from the solar. The house is really coming along so nicely. Thank you for taking the time to explain in detail all the build progress, for those of us who aren't lucky enough to have a Tradesman in the family. It is so gratifying to watch a husband and wife working together safely and without arguing during the process. All of your build and design ideas are so inspiring, it leaves me wondering if you realize how much money you are saving, by doing the work yourselves. What a beautiful home you are making for your family, but more the memories for your children. They learn from us and pass that knowledge on to their children. I learned from mine and my kids learned from me and now my grandchildren are using all that knowledge. You play with your children and that in itself is priceless. As a child we took day drives to look at things or go fishing. We would stop at a store buy hamburger buns lunch meat and chips and stop someplace pretty and eat. We always had koolaid in a jug half frozen in our freezer and filled it up to drink. It cost very little and but the memories were priceless. Going to pick up parts or just to look at the lakes or rivers and historic places was informative yes but oh the memories. I had a lunch bag in my car always still do with knives,forks, spoons, paper plates, napkins, and a small little grill in my car. When things would get boring off we would go on nice days and have a picnic and now my kids do the same. I love my strip lights too, that's all you need at night and it relaxes me. Great job you are giving your children more than you know to survive in this world, your giving you! Love the faux beams and A-frame. I may live in an apartment now but I am still a farmers daughter, who at 89 he still has his home no farm but still cuts wood and works hard. It's the love for the land and all the animals that teach compassion and that is even a better life skill you are giving these children that is priceless beyond measure. You got this!💜

How aesthetically pleasing the strip lighting is from every camera angle inside and out. Not only to say how energy efficient the tiny LCD cells are while emitting indirect lighting. Great idea.
