Love it! Looking forward for more lectures. I'd love to see lecture on Read Retry Operations, 1H1S (hard/soft) reads correction , LDPC error corrections, RAID/RAIN mechanism and UECC handling on SSDs

What about storing the month+year when a page was written in a SLC way, and lowering the read voltage according to the age of the page to compensate for the voltage loss?

Is there any relation between the "page fault" we learned from the Operating System and the "so called 4KB alignment (512 Byte Sector X 4 )" ?

Yes, in both cases you will get a horrible performance. In the page fault case the page isn't in RAM and it has to be loaded from disk. With unaligned read accesses, you usually get a very high read/write amplification (it needs to read+write many pages to service a single request, so it leads to much slower response from the SSD and a bigger wear of the NAND flash.

IF WE APPLY > 1 THRESHOLD VOLTAGE.... 1001 MAY BE WRITE AS 1100 @ 1010...🤔
