They just can't seem to recapture the magic of this game in any game now. The whole world was completely hooked playing it, and it was incredible. I never knew it was the peak at the time, but I'm grateful I got to experience it. Love to watch your videos and relive a bit of nostalgia, but I can't help feeling a yearning for these times that I know will never reoccur! Keep up the good work fort. I used to talk about how we played cod during its 'peak' and modern cod players don't know what they missed out on. But, Black ops 6 just had the biggest launch of any cod in cod history. Needless to say Cod has a new peak and we're not apart of it, I'm not mad at it though, our era was still special, but we're just boomers now.

STORYTIME: so I walk in to GameStop and I was probably 12. I wanted MW2 so bad but my mom would only let me buy used games. The game was brand new so I couldn’t buy it. I go to the counter with COD4 because it was $15. Checked out and wasn’t that excited but when I got home, I realized that THE GUY BEHIND THE COUNTER PUT MW2 IN MY CASE. That guy will never know what he did for me but I will forever be grateful.

I was 10 when I first played MW2 in 2011. I had just got an xbox 360 for xmas and my parents bought me bo1 and mw2 for my birthday a few months later. I remember having the worst loadouts and perks, I was ass but I had fun and made some friends from America. When I think back to these games I think about what was going on around me at the time, and how the people who I played with are doing now. I think that's probably a sentiment that's shared with whoever is reading this.

I just turned 9 when this game came out and have been playing religiously since cod 4 when I was 7. Used to have a 1.5-2 kd in the older games and ever since I would say cod mw3 OG I average above a 2. I will say, everything after BO3 I cannot seem to get into due to shitty guns, pay to win, shitty maps, SBMM, EOMM, goofy ass skins. I miss old cod. Still love to hop on this beauty and every other cod from 07-12.

We were the squeakers in those days. First CoD I played was WaW as an 8 year old. Played GTA 4, RD1 and GTA 5 in those 2008 to mid 2014 days of gaming. Skipped Ghosts for GTA 5. Played Bo3, stopped playing it after 1 month. Haven’t bought a game Bo3. I’ll come back for GTA 6 tho

I'm 28, and i remember when i played Special Ops for the first time and thought that it was the hardest game Mode ever. I only player multiplayer in BO1 and MW3, i remember this games (including MW2) at their PRIME. It was the best thing in the World to have all prestige badges to impress your oponents. The only thing i would want to see is the MW2 and 3 remastered multiplayers. My inner Child would cry remembering all that nights playing endlessly with friends. To all players from that times, I SALUTE YOU, YOU WERE THE BEST. I miss the good old times of infected, team defender and domination in MW3 and i wished to revive these good old times, but i understand that this time, unfornatelly, has passed. I played MW2 almost exclusively from 2009 until 2014, i did play BO1, MW3, B02 but always came back to MW2 Search and destroy. When the trickshotting / quick scoping scene took off in early 2012 this game was crazy..there was dozens of people playing. 6 mans in S n D was the boys after school lol, i remember getting into video editing too, there was tons of clans to join and the scene overall was massive all due to this one game. All went to crap in 2015 when people where doing it as jobs lol or taking it all too seriously Just feel like the trickshotting scene isn't talked about for this game, faze clan, soar, dare, obey, synergy (thousands of our clans) those where the days

Sadly this game died INSTANTLY in my region. MW2 came out and some people were just starting to get PS3’s (truth is very few people got the original PS3 that was expensive). Because of that the ping was 2009 Per to Per with people across the world. I obviously got nukes because they were free 7 killstreaks… but I was a bigger overachiever on Bo1 and MW3. Because somehow while MW2 didn’t explode… *BO1 DID* that game somehow survived 6+ years. The news of the high player count on 2017ish were REAL! Then COD died with AW and only came back in 2019 (as in you could find people of my region but few).

I was 17 when this came out. I was so addicted to it that I’d literally blow off plans with friends and occasionally my ex girlfriend (lol) so that I could run with my squad. We weren’t any type of clan, just a group of dudes that all had a similar play style. We would sit on demolition all night long (literally) and would just spawn trap after spawn trap. If we spawned offense, we’d lose first round with one bomb plant for the extension, if we spawned defense we’d lose first round then win offense for OT and just take turns with choppers and AC. Man cod used to have such a good retention rate. It was so easy to play this game endlessly even if you were running solo and on a losing team. This game was balanced just right so that even if you were up against a full team, you could still pull your streaks and defend yourself. I’ve nuked squads by myself countless times. I genuinely feel sorry for these newer players that didn’t start cod until after 2012. You guys have no idea how fun cod used to be. There was no “meta” weapons or fkn blue prints. You picked a gun, put one attachment on it, and ran that sht. “Microtransactions” were map packs every few months with maps that were ACTUALLY good. Oh, it wasn’t full of these goofy ass skins. This was raw military shooter. Cod is full of rainbow colored garbage these days. It’s a shell of its former self. Yall will never understand. Akimbo rangers with tac insert planted behind refrigerator upstairs in skidrow is one of my favorites to this day.

Best COD of all time. 14 years old when it released. Every gun was broken which made the guns balanced. Obviously the UMP and ACR stood out. This game changed COD forever. I think the CoD community is partially to blame for the downfall of CoD. I played all the CoDs that are considered the prime of CoD (CoD4 through BO2) I remember when OG MW3 came out, it got a lot of hate for being too similar to OG MW2. In lobbies, people would say they were tired of IW and Treyarch releasing the same CoD every year with small changes. People were asking and begging for something big to change. Of course we didnt know that we were playing the prime CoD titles and we thought the series was only gonna improve year after year. We had no idea what we had coming. I strongly believe if a Call of Duty similar to the prime titles were to release, nobody would play it due to the lack of content. One attachment per gun, simple camos, no character customization, and most importantly, no movement. I'm so glad I got to play all the prime CoD titles and was able to reach the highest prestige in most of them unlocking everything along the way.
