I'm a truck driver from Halifax Nova Scotia. and I have delivered, as well as picked up freight at the Sabian cymbal factory in Meductuc New Brunswick. Had a tour of the plant, also got to talk to some of the guys on the process of making cymbals by hand. Really nice people to talk to. They were very accommodating, even talked to one guy who was involved with hand hammering Neil Peart's and Phil Collins cymbals.

Lucky bastard!!! I've been playing Sabian for 30 years now, and despite their becoming borderline over of my budget, I can't ever see myself playing any other brand. Drive those gems safely!!!

​@fleatactical7390 - When I was still teaching in the early 2000s, Sabian set up a huge display in the drum room. Among them was Sally Zildjian. I still have the business card! She was there with knee pads on, with a small sledge hammer to help assemble the display. She was the nicest, sweetest, and friendly people I've ever met! She did ask about cymbals, and I had to be honest about my love for Paiste, but she still gave me her card and invited me to the plant!

Todd is such a monster...... I met him at Long Island drum center when he was still with pearl drums... And we had the privilege of speaking with each other.... At the time I was in a journey tribute band... And recommended me to pearl drums... So I ended up buying a kit with 2 bass drums... Man I love that kit and still use it... Thank you Todd

Wow! What a beautiful kit. Todd Sucherman is a great drummer. He is a walking human - drum machine. I have seen him perform with Styx twice and all of Styx are excellent musicians; and Mr. Sucherman is behind that kit executing every lick with sheer perfection keeping everyone on time. Mr. Sucherman is truly the best. Rock on, Mr. Sucherman.

I totally understand about "first loves." Mine is Rogers. My high school got a Rogers kit when I was in 7th grade in the 70s and that what I played all through high school. Now my favorite kit is my own '68 Rogers Holiday kit. I bought my first brand-new pro-level kit was in college and it was a Pearl (1983) and I still have it, love it, and play it all the time.

I played the piano from 5 to 15. But I always wanted to play drums so I saved (to me) a lot of money and went to our local Music store with the money I had to buy a Drum kit. The first thing I spotted in this store was a Sonor Force 3000 in Maserbirke (MB), I think it‘s called „Scandy Birch“ and I immediately fell in love with that kit. So I bought it with Paiste Cymbals and Hi-Hats and started playing. And this was in 1993 !!! 😀 Till this day this exact Drum kit is in my music room at our house, I only switched from Paiste to Sabina but the drums are still the same I bought back in December of 1993 brand new. 🤩 And guess what: I still love this kit like the day when I first played it at my parents home ❤ These Sonor drums back then were produced here in Germany and oh lord, they are lovely till this day… Thx for the great video, this kit reminded me a little bit (from the color of the drums) of my own kit, but of course Todd‘s Sonor kit is AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL ❤ All the best from Germany 🇩🇪, Philipp

the heavy shells are 12 plys. and the SQ2 wood options are available in 4 thicknesses. vintage, thin, medium and heavy. i had a heavy birch and heavy beech kit. and heavy maple snare.
