What Mattel is attempting to do ( making movies with all their toy brands ) is definitely not the route I thought the Barbie movie release would get. I actually envisioned the kindercamp genre making a comeback, we need more colourful, vibrant cinematography and costume design.

Hey girl!! Just wanted to make a small note regarding The 1975 being banned from Malaysia. Matty Healy also went on stage extremely intoxicated, allegedly destroyed the event organizers' equipment and basically just caused the event to be shut down by authorities. A lot of Western media sites have been painting the band's ban as strictly just an LGBTQ issue which, as an LGBTQ Malaysian myself, is inaccurate to the whole story. Some local LGBTQ activists have spoken up about the subject and I highly recommend checking out what they had to say about the situation. Love your work as always!!!!

The main issue as well is that their behavior is actually quite dangerous for the LGBTQ+ community in Malaysia as it brings a spotlight to them and negative association with them - basically because of these LGBTQ+ activists stirring up trouble the music festival that people have been looking forward to has been completely shut down. It basically sets back all the work that's been done in attempt to get rights for the community. While it's valid to be upset that an entire festival has been ruined by an individual's actions it was not okay that a lot of the discussion was regarding the LGBTQ+ related issues as the main cause. The band was completely at fault and endangering a community while posing as advocates.

anti abcd malaysian here. it was well deserved of them to be booted out and the festival be cancelled following the shenanigans they pulled. it was extremely disrespectful to the conservative values we uphold and i think this should send a strong message to future events and acts in the premise that they think they can try to fuk around in Malaysia. if i can be real, its partly the organisers fault for not doing due diligence on the performers' history bcoz matt healy has always been problematic for a long time and had they screened each acts thoroughly before including them in the fest we wouldnt have these issues. im very against the abcd agenda and its very much an adult subject matter that shouldnt be put everywhere bcoz not only is it inappropriate, its also perpetuating the social problems we have in msia. im very aware that abcd exist and live their lives despite the laws of the land; however ppl are gonna ppl so the least we expect is for everyone to have a level of decorum esp in public places and events. i also totally agree with everyone else on the thread abt the part where it exposes a minority group to high unnecessary risk and also enforce a very negative stereotype of them.

1.) For the first time in many years, no celebrities attend this year’s San Diego Comic con due to the Actors and writer’s strike so the convention still goes on. 2.) The final trailer for blue beetle is released showing more of Jaime Reyes AKA the blue beetle in action and we also see Carapax the indestructible man alongside Susan Sarandon as Victoria Kord and Harvey Guillen as Doctor Sanchez in action. 3.) The trailer for the second season of AMC’s interview with the vampire is released and we get a first look at Delainey Hayles as Claudia ever since she replaced Bailey Bass. We also get our first look at Ben daniels playing the villainous Santiago who owns the Théâtre Des vampires in Paris. 4.) Ever since Burger King collaborated with Across the Spider-Verse in June making a special limited burger, they announced their second superhero movie collaboration with a blue beetle themed burger as a meme.

I would like to say that the fan who threw water at Cardi B threw water on her because she requested it. Though, Cardi B requested water not to be thrown on her hair or face (which the fan did do) the fan repeatedly loudly said "I'm sorry". Cardi B then threw her mic at a fan in the crowd who WAS NOT THE GIRL WHO THREW THE DRINK ON HER! Cardi B threw the mic at the girl's head which could've caused serious damage or a concussion (which can lead to serious things like strokes later on).
