Just a suggestion to help the eggs maybe would be to put a layer of insulation around the out side of your boxs then cover with wood and that may help the boxs stay warm enough to keep your eggs from freezing? I do not have wood heat for the first time in my adult life and I miss it so much. No heat like wood heat. God bless.

Hi Jessica, Aaron and sweet family! Bless your hearts, I’m sure your both sore from the wreck. Always the next day when you get the aches and pains. I meant to tell you before that the color of your door is beautiful. I love that shade of yellow. The chickens are happy now. You really take good care of them, lots of work. I’m glad to see Kodi doing better, just praying for complete healing. Aaron, your chili looks so delicious. The boys worked really hard. Wood is not easy. My husband and I used to cut firewood for 11 widow women so they would have heat for the winter. My husband would work and come home to split it with an axe. We would take a dump truck load and stack it for them, plus we heated with wood ourselves. It was an all summertime job, but we never regretted it. Shoveling off the roofs to keep them from caving in is a must do job. When we lived in Chicago, my brothers and I had to shovel the two car garage roof one year after a blizzard. So many people had damage from cave ins, it was a snowy winter that year. I know the snow keeps the family busy, but what a winter wonderland. So beautiful it’s breathtaking. Your porch decorations look beautiful and so inviting. I hope you and your family get some much needed rest. Stay warm and have a blessed peaceful night my friends!

Wow!! My husband, Jaysen, and I are laying on the couches. He's on his computer and I'm watching you. Every now & then he looks up and says "More snow?" I've never seen that much snow in real life. We live in Texas so there you go. I'm in full blown menopause watching thinking I bet I wouldn't get hot there, lol. I don't know how yall do it! Yall fight the snow and we fight the droughts. Having a garden here can get very expensive if you don't have a well. It's so dry my water bill runs in the $400-$500 in the spring and summer just to keep the garden watered. I can't wait to watch and ooo and awe over the snow. We hope yall have a blessed evening!!

Hello Beautiful family. Yeah we're getting a 3 days snow storm/blizzard. Working on our 2nd day. Morning. Already have 3 ft of snow on our deck. Some spots in the yard have barely anything and others looks like 5 ft. Yikes. Can't see out our windows bcuz the wind is packing the snow up against the windows. Opened the door to see what was out there and the path that was shoveled last night looks as tho we didn't shovel. We'll need to bulldozer to plow us out. Not sure a normal truck plow will be able to but we'll see. Hope no one has an emergency. Could be a scary situation. Well my Dear looks like you guys are getting it done. Hadn't heard from you in awhile, so glad you're all doing well. Gotta get to the outside chores. I'll be taking ibuprofen before I head out. God bless and keep you all safe in everything you do. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Year. Sending hugs and loves from NE Minnesota.

We got another 24 on top of it. It should hold it but it’s not built like our house or the coop they are both built for the worst case snow load. The trailer is flat it for sure is not built at all for the loads we have

Lol good question! So far we had a worst winter in Colorado in the pass. This is shaping up to be more snow! However we loved the eastern planes of Colorado. Kiowa/Elizabeth area the best. Alaska is Colorados beauty on steroids
