LFE is Low Frequency element.. in a mixed mastered files can be of different formats. mono, Stereo, 2.1, 5.1 7.1 9.2.4 etc.. .1 and .2 means the LFE which is a Sub Auxiliary system.. and the first digit is the panoramic values perceptions like stereo and surround.. and the last value is the Z axis or called as atmos and all in dolby

Usually a bigger diaphragm driver will go deeper. In car you also have a lot of cabin gain. So even a 10 inch may suffice. But 12 will go deeper. Best thing is to sample out at a shop. Tell them clearly you want tight , deep controlled bass. Most cheap ones will be giving mostly 40-50Hz. If you go sub 30Hz that is pretty good.

Another year ll be moving nto own apartment where I have flexibility of havingproper ceiling speakers. 1. Can I mount these(Dolby Atmos enabled) speakers in ceiling 2. If it's not ideal, and I must buy normal ceiling speakers, don't it require a cabinet. Considering cabinet affecting sound quality, isn't it a concern that these speakers don't come with one.

@@hanimv Hey if don’t know about the specific one you said but maybe how about something like Klipsch DCT 5800 . From other brands too. These can be tilted to change angle. Will be very handy to tune the setup and move the listening position. Above the false sealing, we can have cabinet and filling depending on design spec of the driver . Remember these are coaxial full range drivers.

@@ModernMallus Tangent spectrum xatm is a small addon speaker. Its designed to place up on the front bookshelf speakers. It faces ceiling at an angle, so that sound is fired to the ceiling which reflects back to the listener mimicking height/ceiling speakers. I was wondering if I could mount it in ceiling when I can. Its angle can help pointing towards the listener. Not flexible like proper ceiling speakers like the one you mentioned, but can save me money by reusing what I already have.

They are probably using boundary gain to give a feel of “more bass”. In my opinion this is not the best way to do it in case of music. In cinema this will be less critical. Keep this in mind when upgrading.

Subwoofers you can beem steer and make it directive towards a-particular direction.. and U missed a main point about directivity of subs.. I used to play around with 50 60 dual 18 inch ported subs of L Acoustics and Meyer sounds a lot and do Concert and Music Festivals.. you you can discriminate by telling the sizes of room.. and there are many other medium to measure and align system..

BRO, thanks for your very informative videos. Please help me to find suitable subwoofer & rear speaker for my amp yamaha DSP-A3090. Currently we have only 2 no's tannoy mercury m3 tower speaker. room size is 20 feet (L) x 11 feet (W) x 11feet (H) = almost 2500 cft

If you are not changing your main spacers, you can go for Mercury M2 bookshelves as your rear. You will need a centre channel Like Meecury MXC. This way we can keep the tonality uniform across all speakers. For the sub, let me know how much budget you have. I will recommend a 12 inch sub with at least 350 W RMS for you.
