Amy Lee is my favorite kind of artist. She's never used her body to sell her music, and she's nothing but pure talent. Speaking of talent, can you do White and Nerdy by Weird Al?

She's always used it. Not in a over the top way like the bimbos of MTV do. But don't fool yourself she does. Just look at My Immortal. She used it. There was a million different ways they could have done it. They choose to have Amy looking silly hot in a not over the top way. But she was hot in it. If you didn't see it you're blind. If you don't think Amy's looks didn't help sell the band in the beginning you're kidding yourself. It's why they got air play on MTV. It helped jump start her. But her talent made her last. And she's talented. Very talented. And very pretty.

Larry Lindgren uhhhh wtf she hardly shows any of her body and you can’t say her looks got her to where she is
@keithlewis46015 жыл бұрын
@@larrylindgren9484 I half agree with both of you, but I will say I think she is fully aware of her natural beauty, and is indeed not ashamed to show it. However, considering how most artists use their beauty (half nude photoshoots, makeup and clothing commercials, seductive selfies or pictures) I don't think she is purposefully "showing it off". Just because you can visibly see her beauty doesn't mean that's all she wants you to see. I also agree with the fact that her talent is what really got her here, not her looks. Yes the looks help, but their not her main source when she wants to attract listeners. It's the music that attracts her fans, and that's why her and her fanbase are special.

It’s so funny. I’ve followed Amy since 2003. I was/always will be a huge fan. I’ve met her & the band, been a fan club member, seen them live 10 times (9 front row). She started off as the “goth rocker girl” spunky yet dark. “Good Enough” was her first happy song about falling in love. She’s married now with a child. I know this song was for a movie soundtrack but Who’d of thought Amy Lee would have a song about a mother’s love? And her cover of the Italian song “Love Exists” which is about all types of love? Gives me chills! Or tour with a full orechestra like the last tour? She’s just amazing at whatever she does! 👍🏻

This song I’ve been requesting and dying for you to see and listen to this cuz this is all Amy Lee she wrote it composed it u name it. For me I’m a caregiver 7 days a week to my Autistic Brother he has lived with me going on 4 years now. I think of him I’m his Sister but I took care of him very early in my life. If something ever happens to me this song is for him can’t explain it but I heard the song and it just hit me I love my Brother as if he were my child . But Amy Lee has so much talent just when u think she can’t get better she does and it comes from her heart ♥️ thank you 🙏 so much for finally reviewing thing haunting, beautiful song . It’s a true piece of art so is the video 😊

This is a beautiful song. One of my favorites too. It definitely makes me think of my husband who tragically lost his mother to a drunk driver on their way home from church. He was only 10. They were very close. We have been together now 25 yrs and live in the house she lived in. I feel her here a lot. I pray she is in peace and that I meet her one day More importantly, my husband and his siblings are reunited with her. 💓 Thank you Hel for recommending this song 💓

I ADORE how you really 'see' Amy Lee, for the incredible musician she is!! & yes, I think what you hit on, that i've always seen, too, is the chick has CLASS. You can be extremely sensual in your femininity (i mean, you'd have to be BLIND not to hers, right?!) without having to have it all hang out. She's maintained that level of artistry without compromise... & yet with her outstanding looks she might've totally played herself up. Just not her bag. TFS :-)
@Muthrtung5 жыл бұрын
oh yeah, & this song kicks arse! she left her own little boy for the first time, to travel from NY to LA to some recording studio campus place, & was fired up to write the tone of the song, from being a bit upset about leaving, at first.

16 years ago when my son was 2-3 and diagnosed with autism, I used to read to him till he fell asleep and whisper “speak to me please” in his ear. When I first heard this I got major chills. He’s 18 now and going off to college and he’s an amazing musician.

This is my favorite song of hers to date. The film it features on, "A Voice in the Stone", is beautiful. And the lyrics of this song and havingnher son be a part of the MV makes me ache for my own son, whom I gave up for adoption. This is an emotionally powerful ballad of just Amy Lee's soaring vocals and her pianist skills, coupled with violins. Absolute perfection.

That's not Jack Hartzler. That was actually the little boy of the director of the movie, who happens to be about the same age as her own son. Jack is... a good deal more rambunctious, haha. I think she'd been fishing him out of the duck pond there if he'd been in that video.

Amy does sexy, but her version of sexy is never revealing. Usually it shows off her curves, but little skin. Her outfit in the What You Want video is a good example of this. I've followed her work since 2003 and I have never once seen her do anything intentionally immodest. Sexy, but not immodest. I lost my mother when I was 13 and it just destroyed me. Six months after the funeral, I stuck a shotgun in my mouth, hoping to catch up with her in the Far Country. It was the music video to My Immortal coming on the TV at that moment that saved me. Now, 16 years later, I'm a married man and about to give my mother the grand kids she never lived to see. This song came along at just the right time to keep that grief from overwhelming me again. Amy has always been there for me when I needed it, and I'll love her forever it.

This is also one of the hardest song to play on piano written by Amy Lee. The video didn't had any promotion yet is over 100M views on it's own.
