The Xbox was a very iconic game system in my childhood. I was around 13 years old, I found the Xbox modding and homebrew community. I remember sending an email to bunnie about some really unusual things happening with my xbox when trying to mod it. It turns out there were some refurbished xbox's with newer firmware versions, but older hardware, that caused a number of modchips to not work. He then suggested I just use his I2C sniffing guide, and unlock the hard drive directly to mod the system. Doing all of this really unlocked that bridge of how computers and digital electronics work, and a foundation of programming. Today, I'm very successful in life for having this knowledge. You have helped to inspire and educate many kids, who are leading very happy lives right now. Thank you!

You gave some of the money to those guys because you're like most of us, you believe in the community and want to see it succeed as a whole, not just what you personally want to see it become. You want to inspire large amount of diverse ideas and schools of thought amongst homebrew developers/users. Because even though game companies don't agree with what console hackers/modders/homebrew devs do, they do sometimes emulate and incorporate features from modded systems into future retail hardware revision and new reatil releases. The more people involved, the more likely game companies are to see it as a viable decision to pursue. Keep up the good work, been using your OG Xbox emulators and homebrew for about 15yrs now!

For a time during the 2010's i was at my friend's house, he had an xbox and i had a pc with internet so i loaded up his xbox with so many emulator and great games. We've beat so many games on snes, gba and others, specially him who never had a pc to emulate. xsnes9x was by far the most played app on his xbox. Thanks for that!

Dude I am in LOVE with that Sega shirt. I remember modding my Xbox as a teenager in 2004. Those were some of the best years of my life. I learned so much about computers in general because of it and made that my profession as an adult. Thanks to people like you and your team I probably wouldn't be where I am today. Xbox-scene was my Bible back then. Xsnes9x was the first emulator that I had run on my Xbox. I can't find the song that used to play in the background on that app. I miss it haha

Holy crap dude, you were THE shit to me back in those days. When I was a teen I modded mine and my friend's consoles back in the day softmod, X-bit modchip. We played the crap out of some of those emulators, especially Surreal64. I even made my own recovery disc for them back then. When I moved and had no internet or TV, I had the modded xbox and those emulators to keep me sane. I wish I still had the console, but sadly it died a long time back. I might just get another one day and make it over again.

Thanks for your contributions to the modder community! I know I'm late to the vid but your work is much appreciated. I enjoyed everything you had a hand in releasing. I'm still using some of it. Surreal64 was by far the most polished N64 emulator I have ever seen. Loved modding the original xbox, must have done 1000 or more soft mods and tsops. It was so much fun! I still run a fork of xbmc (plex). The scene contributed so much to what most people don't even realize is out there. Agaim, thanks and awesome work. The vid and explanations are awesome!
