for those wondering the mechanical designer of Linebarrels of Iron also worked on the designs of the Ultraman Suits from the manga/Netflix ULTRAMAN series.

Kotobukiya used to make kits from the Linebarrel series and looks pretty cool, don't think they can make them anymore so Moderoid is your only option if you like the design. Or you can pay 300 bucks for the Riobot figure.

The Moderoid Patlabor kits are my favourite, they seem to be the most consistent in quality as well. I was almost put of the line completley when I got he Savage from Full Metal Panic as that kit was awfull to put together, I had to remove loads of material just to get the thighs to fit flush.

Always wanted those older model kits but they were so long out of print that it was just impossible to find them. Am pleasantly surprised to see a new one

Great review as usual! If I allowed to make a suggestion, I suggest you to try Moderoid Knights & Magic. Ikaruga, Tzendolg/Tzendolimble, and Toybox (probably Type 3 Equipment set, if you interested).

A few of those interchangeable parts like the shoulders and shields could've been opening hatchet gimmicks in Bandai's Real Grade. I'm desperately wishing that Bandai would pick this up like RG Gaogaigar.

Guys if you are interested, read the manga. DO NOT WATCH the anime made by gonzo. Its shitte, dont waste your time, or play the srw ux(yeah its in japanese, but at least adapts most of the manga) By any chance did you review the Kotobukiya kits of linebarrel? Maybe they are better or not than this one( stickers sucks...) As for moderoid, i only build the obsolete kits, and i have no issues with those

Moderoid stickers can be hit or miss in quality. The Promare kit has even more stickers but they're so much easier to put on than Bandai ones that it was almost a pleasant experience, while the PopTeamEpic kit had stickers that don't fit properly, look really bad, and don't stick on well either.

Only moderioid model kit I got was Ordine from Legend of Cold Steel game, my favourite JRPG. While the design wasn't bad, the lack of finishing and colour not matching the box art was a bit disappointing.
@BrandonTjon3 күн бұрын
I can airbrush a finish no bother. But how's those bronze ornament lines on it? Do you have to paint it and is it difficult?
@jeremyfusenliu38593 күн бұрын
@@BrandonTjon I think Valimar had the bronze ones (Gold looks better imo), nope, its all just base color however the mold did make the shape for the lines so you have to paint it or use a silver marker like me. The model is atleast color separated so aside from the painting the ornaments everything is what it looks like on the box art.
