Very well put. The vibe they have is unlike any other. I feel they have a lot in common with Tame Impala (despite being uniquely different.) Both bands just create this vibe that sucks you in and spits you out wanting more, yet you can't find it. Bring back alt rock groups taking chances plz.

I saw MM live at the University of Iowa campus in 2004, they opened with Dramamine then played almost the entire Good News album & it was the greatest show I’ve ever seen! The crowd cheered like crazy for over 45min for a encore & they came out & played some older classics, epic night!

stage setup here is wonderful. sounds great with headphones. distortion on the bass for chorus is a nice touch! MM is still sounding good, man. been a fan since my friend's gf threw a tape into her car's cassette player, and sang her heart out along with what i'd later figure out was "Cowboy Dan", and she had played an album titled The Lonesome Crowded West. i had just graduated high school a cupla months prior and had my whole life ahead of me. it was August of 2001, and times were a lot simpler, looking back on it.

Dramamine, Coyotes, Gravity Rides Everything, Teeth Like God's Shoeshine, Talking S**t About a Pretty Sunset, Missed the Boat, Little Motel... Just so many that I really dig.

Yeah I saw them a few years back at the Eagles Ballroom in WI and the audio was so bad I couldn't even understand him when no music was playing and he was talking to the crowd. Plus, it was so crowded and everyone was drunk or doped up. For my first concert as a 30yr old and I was like "this is what concerts are? This is actually quite unpleasant..." lol

I've seen them live twice. They do wonderful renditions of their songs, often staying true but making it worth the live listen with small additions and changes here and there. I ran my throat dry singing along with my girlfriend at the time, the energy was far from low.

However when he recorded the Ugly Casanova record, it was much more stripped down and more obvious. Worth a listen to for sure if you haven't heard it, the album Sharpen Your Teeth is an absolute gem of a record.

I am older and grew up in the 80’s, and my sister was into the “Mod” scene and this would have fit into her genre!! I absolutely love this music. Extremely original and genuine to who they are . A lot like the Alternative bands of the 80’s. Great music and musicians!! I can’t wait to go see them with my daughter soon!!
