Welcome back to another episode of Stay True Podcast! Madison is sitting down to talk about modesty, flirting, and answering the question we’ve all asked: how far is too far? Today, Madi talks about how modesty is more than the clothes you wear- it's about the heart and the way you interact with others. She opens up about her past with flirting and the dangers of leading people on. In a culture that tells us to wear what we want, do what we want, and flirt with whom we want, Madi points to what the Bible says about these every day struggles. She explains that God wants us to flee from sin and run towards holiness in every aspect of life.
Stay you and stay true!
Questions/topics discussed and answered:
Is flirting a sin?
How to stop attracting the wrong relationships and start attracting godly ones
How far can you go without sinning?

One of the best compliments I have gotten is from a couple of guy friends who said that they admired the way I followed Jesus while going through trials. When someone notices your heart for Jesus, it is so much more satisfying than hearing that your face is pretty ❤

Madi, as I am currently reading your book “the love everybody wants” and listening to this episode… all I could do is just cry on how gracefully you’ve explained everything 🩷😭 it’s been convicting, eye opening, and healing. Thank you for allowing Jesus to use you! We love you Madi 🩷🩷

Madi, i’m only 40 seconds in and I already know this is something I have been 100% needing to hear. All of my girl friends and coworkers tell me about how all these guys are saying they look cute and asking for their numbers which made me insecure and feeling like I was lacking because that never really happens to me, ever. But then I brought it to God and asked Him to take this jealousy i feel away because I want guys to recognize me NOT just cause of my looks and in 5 seconds of a glance… but because of my character and personality as they get to know me. Thank you so so much for talking about this, more encouragement i needed on this subject!!

Madi I have read your book and study guide. “The Love Everyone Wants” and I would like to say thank you. I listen to your podcast and your cousin podcast “ Dear Future Husband” too. I have constantly highlighted the book and the Bible on what God truly has in stored for us. The constant reminder of knowing God wants the best for us. My season of singleness still feels like a hard journey but, being reminded the best has yet to come.

Wow, that hit me. i never knew I was flirting. i always thought it was just my personality, but what you said resonated with me, and what a friend who called me out on that. This just confirms that I need to stop flirting and correct the way I speak to people.

Hearing all of this gives a man of God hope! 🙏 It's just a matter of time before more and more women find their way to God. As a man, I can completely agree with what Madi said in this episode! My love towards a woman is determined by how much she loves the Lord. There's no way around it. If you want to win over GOOD godly man, don't do it with your body, flirts or dressing choices like Madi said. If you want a man of god, first become a woman of god.. same goes for me, if I want to find a "virtuous woman" like described in the Bible, I need to get closer to Jesus first and develop myself as a man in all areas of life. And sometimes.. that's very very difficult.. to pick up your own cross, sacrifice many things of your former life, and maybe even leave some old friends behind.. We're all in this together.. believe me.. both genders are struggling in this modern-day of age to find a good partner. It's not easy, and sometimes.. a little bit lonely, but we have to endure! We're not alone in this! God is with us, he has our backs, just trust him! 🙏 ALWAYS remember Matthew: 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." God bless you, sisters! Don't lose hope ✝

Listening to this video while I am work. The title was convicting as it is. I noticed that I will blame my friendliness as the way it looks like I am flirting, but it’s because that what I am so used too. I have to renewal my mind in some parts of my life and I love how this topic was an answer to my question. I always question why do I get the same type of guys. Convicted and want to change. Thank you Jesus for videos like these to help me look in Gods perceptive.

I have a hard time w this because I have certainly attracted the wrong kind of men when dressing in a way with crop tops and things, but when dressed modest as well. Yes I agree that intention of what we are trying to put out there matters because I think of Hawaii and how people live in bikinis, but they are not doing it w malintentions. I think of Dolly Parton and she has a loving husband dressing the way she does. She is a Christian woman. So this is something I do have to ponder more. Any thoughts?

I think you’re on a good track just with pondering it at all! I’m opting for more coverage at the gym and less form fitting attire in general lol. It’s def been a slow process but for me personally, something in my spirit is pushing me in that direction :) I like the story Madi told of Grant and *the way* he brought it to her attention. It’s less “you’re doing this wrong” and more conversational, prompting her to question it, pray about it, and respond to conviction :)

@@chrispytinitaSometimes I do feel the conviction and I am moving towards more modest as well. It does have to do w conviction for sure. People in ministry and with a certain calling I feel will be called different. So even though Dolly Parton is a sweetheart and a Christian, she is called and convicted in a different way than Mother Theresa for example. It's certainly interesting.

Thank you Madi. I used to do photoshoots about 5 years ago and some of my photos were very suggestive. Not even in revealing skin, but in the lustful look on my face (it’s in the eyes). One of my favorite guys from church who feels like another dad to me is Facebook friends with me. Last Sunday at church he told me he saw a picture of me that he was surprised to see. He told me in such love, but said it was a bit suggestive. I felt embarrassed and totally forgot those were up there from before I knew Jesus. I told him that was BC Jenna and he got a laugh out of it. I went home and immediately deleted some of those pictures. I guess this is what God wanted to convict me of this week because it’s really funny that I’m listening to you now speaking into the exact same thing! I’m gonna re look through those pictures, because I think I have even more I need to delete. Thank you for letting the Holy Spirit speak Madi. All the best. 🙏🏼🩷
