The Eagle which is claimed to be Zeus, could possibly, also be Freya as in the beginning of the final fight with Baldur, Freya arrives in a Bird Form. Theory of Mimir: As for Mimir, When you arrive back from Jotunheim; Mimir’s head will be found in the ground saying “The Dwarves were taking all sorts of measurement.” Which could essentially mean they could possible construct a body of some sort for Mimir. (Like so Kaptain Kuba could see)

I think so too. At the end of the game she not only turned into a bird, she also made it clear that she would return to Odin, take back her seat as leader of the valkyries along with her wings and wants to destroy Kratos. She being the bird seems to make the most sense.

After he was shot and then knocked unconscious while the train car he was in tumbled down the mountain after it derailed when Drake himself blew it up. So I would say if Nolan North as Modi was able to channel Drake, his odds of successfully surviving a neck stabbing went up.

If you use the camera mode at that part of the game where Atreus kills him, you can see that he slid down along the rocks rather then falling from a tall height and hitting the ground, making it very lightly that he is still alive.

To be honest basically every God of War, especially the 4th one has shown us that gods dont take "fall damage", not even Atreus who is part mortal and part giant, so logically speaking, Modi is very likely still alive as he got absolutely beaten to smithereens presumably by Mjolnir, because while your going to helheim, you can see and hear thunder several times, so some random Greek/Norse knife to the neck probably wont kill him either

I have a feeling that the Boar Atreus shoots early on is actually Freya's brother, Frey. Odin turned Frey into the animals he adored as a joke an further punishment of Freya and the Vanir. That's why he was the only boar of his kind and why Freya claimed that "he must not die"

Atreus’s knife wasn’t Eitr imbued so that could potentially be why Modi didn’t die. Magni was killed with an Eitr imbued Leviathan axe. Mimir has a conversation after the boss fight that it was suspicious Magni didn’t come back to life. Some believe that Eitr, the venom of the World Serpent is one of the few things that can kill Aesir like Thor. His sons are also Aesir, not like him in terms of power, but still Aesir gods.

One more detail to the theory that fits with the actual myth. Only the Wolrd Serpent's venom can kill Thor, Magni and Modi being Thor's children have the same blood. We got a mysterious buff from the World Serpent the very first time we met him and spit out our axe ... a buff that was never explained . My theory is the axe got imputed with his venom, making us able to kill Magni with it .

My theory is that GoW's current timeline is a stable time loop, which makes everything happening rn all part of Ragnarok (from the moment the future started affecting the present until it loops back, at least). If your theory is true(Which I think it is. There's no way why those etchings are 100% alike for no reason. It would be a waste of good foreshadowing.), then I hope Modi will be resurected by Freya. She's too awesome to remain a villain and her presence would certainly help make up for all the mistreatment of women in the previous installments. Or he could be part giant. Edit: Writing this comment has made me realize that even the game's logo is a loop(it's an ourobouros, but it could also be).

Firstly great video, worth the wait and secondly, so basically Modi would join us because he would want to get revenge on Thor/Odin of how badly he was treated by his family. Also I was once talking with my friend about how maybe Modi is alive (This probably isnt correct but we had a fun discussion) and I thought the way Modi could be alive is because Atreus stabbed him with a knife Kratos gave him and said knife is made from 2 metals, one from the greek realm and the other from norse realm and maybe this is because why Modi is alive, maybe the metal in the knife has to be fully from the norse realm and because it had the mixture from greek and norse realm it couldnt kill Modi and also Atreus basically just found out he is a God so he wasn't strong enough. (Like I said we had a fun discussion, this probably isnt true but still enjoyed the discussion)

I feel like Modi would end up turning if he reappeared and somehow managed to actually succeed to kidnap Atreus in Ragnarok and bring him to Odin, doing what Thor himself couldn't, only to find nothing changed. Recognising that he is both on the losing side and that his father/family will never actually love him, unlike how Kratos clearly loves Atreus, he will do what Hercules could not and turn against his family and help Kratos to redeem himself. He realises the faults of the Aesir and, like Freya and sort of Mimir, fulfils the prophecy that the giants envisioned after Baldur's death; when gods grow good.

In Norse Mythology, they actually try to bring Baldur back to life by going to Helheim and talking to Hel herself. They ask her to release Baldur and she agrees under one condition that all in the realms are glad for his return. The only one who isn't though is Loki disguised as an old woman. Because not everyone is happy to see him returned to life the deal is not made and he stays in Helheim until Ragnarok.

The only way to kill thor is by the venom of the world serpent , and if you rememeber that part were the kratos throws his axe into the water and the serpent spits it out , that is the reason why magni didn't come to life but my theory is that modi will come back to life since he died by the knife from atreus which it didn't have the poisen

Hey kuba can you do a video on Mimir's origins? his accent is Scottish, and he talks of a celtic knife he used have, and a faerie king he used to serve under. He is the first Norse God to be killed by kratos, but the first be killed willingly. An outsider god in a pantheon shown to be bloodthirsty and cruel. So his whole character and story ark are really different.

Might be a little late for reply here, but there have been speculations that Mimir is actually Puck from Midsummer Night's Dream- a faerie/sprite from the Celtic Pantheon who served the faerie king Oberon. This is somewhat reinforced with the fact that Mimir is quoted to have said: "Lad, there comes a time in every man's life when he changes his name and heads north to make a new start" when Atreus asked how he ended up in the Nordic Lands, and one more where he referenced that he- along with several other of his mates, were often called "Goodfellows" and were known to make all manners of mischief to mortals. That is exactly how Puck- also known as "Robin Goodfellow" in some cases, is depicted in Celtic Myths. This would also explain his Scottish accent and common use of slangs like "wanker" and "bloody". Geographically speaking, the Norse Lands are indeed north of the Celtic Lands. Admittedly, this has been explained on a different video somewhere [or maybe a post somewhere], so I just kind of added what I knew about Celtic/English Myths. It would be interesting to see a more in-depth explanation from Kuba if he decides to make a video out of it.
