"Modified 392" is GONE

Charger Scatpack 392 chased by Police Trooper. This Dodge Charger Scatpack 6.4L 392 is likely modified with some forced air or nitrous which is why it gapped the police pursuit trooper so quickly. Always said a Scatty is a cam and exhaust swap away from perfection. The cam is really mild from the factory ( something like 195/206 degrees @ .050 ) but with that optimized induction and heads it's hard to get gains.

I think some watchers fail to understand just how loud the screw noise whines and how fast the RPM accelerates on a Hellcat. That's definitely a modded 6.4L.

Definitely a NA 392, could be a 7 liter(426)stroker engine. A setup like that can easily put out close to 600 RWHP if built and tuned correctly, and haul some serious ass. Waiting to see which city, county or state law enforcement agency gets some 6.4 liter powered pursuit rigs, either built by someone or done in-house in their fleet services motor pool. That's not gonna happen anytime soon, waaaaayyy too much money to implement, you'd have to factor in purchasing the units then paying to mod them out and tune them, then you gotta retrain the officer's who are gonna be driving them, and that's A LOT of money for some local, small town department to be forking over on a very limited annual budget.

The Scattie is a 392CI engine. Breathe on it just a little and it becomes a modern day 426. In the words of Carroll Smith, There's no replacement for Displacement. Small blocks, like the 5.7, the Chevy LS and the Ford Coyote are nice, but if you really want to wring everthing out of a car, put in more Cubes. Farm Truck does it everyday with a 632 Chevy Big Block! Forget the whine. You break a blower belt in the middle of a chase, a VW Passat will catch you...

Put your car on HP and TQ pages while doing 75 mph down the highway. My Scat Pack on eco mode only takes 20 HP. Cars need HP and TQ to get their weight to change speed. 373, 485, 707 all equally able to make a car do 120 mph down a highway.

lol I’ve had four 392 platforms, in stock form it’s more than capable of dusting LEOs. That is definitely a N/A motor, used to that sound. But an actual built 392, goodluck to all those naysayers on the track
