Excellent damping mod . To get the best out of the arm it will need to be raised slightly to maintain its specification tracking angle . So many turntable tweaks , so many views on turntable tweaks as well , go by what your ears tell you. I would try an Ortofon 30e in this myself. Cartridges seem to be getting very expensive over the past two years . The little Audio Technica AT91 is a good little performer at 20 pounds , it tracks well and is sympathetic to worn records or get something more expensive and exotic further up the range where as you know you can spend hundreds .

Mind you I just checked the price of an OM30 stylus , it made my eyes water . An OM10 would be much cheaper or maybe new cartridge Audio Technica AT 120 . or a 140 if you want to spend more . Alternative Ortofon 2M Red , they seem to be well liked .

By adding material to the underside of the platter it's now sitting higher on the sub-platter so the arm should be raised by the same amount to compensate. As for the cartridge, I'm assuming it's the Ortofon OM5e? If so, an easy upgrade is to buy a more expensive stylus in the same Ortofon OM series family - e.g. OM10, OM20, OM30 or OM40. But, an OM40 stylus is €350. A better profiled stylus gives better detail retrieval. Alternatively, a new cartridge like the Audio Technica AT120E or especially AT440MLb might be a better bet. Top of the AT line in the same family is the AT150MLx or AT150SA.

You can place a coin on top of the headshell paint it black and rebalance the counterweight to put less stress on the stylus, townshend audio cables will bring more naturalness and highlight any unwanted hifi veiling in the rest of your system... Nagoaka cartridges are as good as you'll get on the cheaper side of things..

hi its bitumen you can get it from car body shop.they use it on car floors to deaden noise m8

Hi bud. Thanks again . Just finished the damping works superb 👍👍👍👍 Now i can clearly hear it on low volume ' we dont need no education ' not excavation ☝️on dst live 😂😂😂😂 Seriously opened and deepened soundstage much lower noise level better stereo image. Whit this and a new om 10 cart it's a huge step up . I thinking to fill up the sub platter whit something glue or head gasket seal or something . Also musical fidelity x lp on the way 🤫😉
