yeah, just noticed the link is still live, unlike most other innovative recumbents I see on youtube. I like the updated version as well, it's coming along nicely. Do you have any Australian distributors yet?

Outstanding.... Pure genius originality and quite inspiring, to say the least. Ignore the pathetic detractors who couldn't build a wheelbarrow.... Anyone who has ever fabricated anything, especially as amateurs in home workshops, will respect the huge effort and thinking that has gone into this. I, for one, salute you. {:o)

Clever, thoughtful design. Ignore the naysayers. I ride a trike, and I'd be comfortable on this one. Love the suspended seat.

wordzenpix ....ignore the naysayers , that would be stupid thing to do , and you are abusing the zen thing , brianmck4 has more brain power than you .....what a stupid phoqen commentator you are...so can you tell me why investors are not responding , I know why , cause they don't want to get sued , Jacky Parker the idiot speeder would not be able to stop in time ,

Grey Owl Mr. Owl, I have no idea how I became so "phoquen" but it seems like an interesting condition. I will explore that further. In the meantime, a little zen might calm you.

Your not failing. Your learning. The best way a mind can with a problem. By getting stuck in. Build a new model , refine, adjust and change were need be. Never look at any of your designs as failures, so much as learning or you will distract your perspective on finding solutions. Excellent stuff.
@latebloomer69579 жыл бұрын

Grey Owl Mr. Owl, I can't fathom how a simple compliment could set you off on such a rant. I see you're concerned about a accident causing a burden on the healthcare system. I'd be glad to contribute a small sum to assist you in mental health counseling. Relax, for heaven's sake. Life is short, the trike designer is having fun and sharing it. That's creative and positive. Chill.
@latebloomer69579 жыл бұрын
relaxing is fun , but getting hit by an idiot is not , doctors don't need more stupid patients I will relax by not going to toronto . the sum would be more appreciate with a relaxing drink with you or whatever else you use to relax. I'm a burden on the health system cause I was an young idiot on on bad bike .thanks for caring , and have a happy and fun life .

Grey Owl I live in Raleigh NC, also not a safe place to ride, or even drive. I stay off main roads with anything but a car. I ride a two-wheel recumbent and recently bought a trike for my wife who has balance problems now, a Trident Trike Stowaway II. Really sorry to hear about your accident.

Cool bike invention I have a similar idea but instead of a tricycle it’s a pedal car for adults 4 wheels instead of 3 cargo space in back car/recumbent seating and suspension still working on getting parts and certain tools to finally work on my prototype. When I’m able to finally start on it I will definitely document the process and demonstration

As a DIY builder myself, some very nice stuff on this -- love the steering the most. Not sure if I like the spring seat - if you are pedaling the seat will give way/move back under the force of leg pressure? But looks very comfortable! Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Patrick

Regarding safety - 1. for high speed riding you can connect top of springs close to center or use longer cross-tubes to make vehicle wider . 2. steering column can be telescopic, easily releasing, made from flexible plastic and so on. I think anyway trikes are much more safe than bikes. Bikes are most dangerous, especially to drive baby in front seat. It is crazy.

thats pretty cool except for the springs holding the seat wouldn't those break i'd feel safer it if were more secure like having shocks like the Ice Road model which has suspension
@4cClubT8 жыл бұрын
spring suspended A+ but looks like it needs more control from swaying , with all those multi positions might as well make the seat recline fully if needed and put an enclosed shell on the recumbent
@curbowman8 жыл бұрын
+4cClubT I'd couple the springs with some device to absorb excessive spring movement. Something like an elastic foam sleeve around the spring.

As someone who is legally blind and rides a bicycle everywhere this would be nice. I'm curious as to the building cost though for something like this. Price has always kept me from getting a good bicycle on a very limited paycheck.

neat. just needs some work on cosmetics, imo, but really cool ideas. you could also use a hammock type system with ropes for the seat. i don't know how long those springs stay tight enough...

Sorry my friends, I did not answer long time... Thanks for comments. I continue to improve my trikes and still love this ideas and love to drive this trike. Soon I will show new better design - more simple and lightweight, which means more chance to find somebody who want to start manufacturing. I cannot do it myself, I am inventor but not businessman. My job - to make better and better design and share with you. I made trike from aluminum, weight of the last trike around 22 kg.
@bobamericana30996 жыл бұрын
what you do is sell the plans on your website.....i looked at recumbent trikes at the local bike shop and 2 things kept me from buying...PRICE and PRICE...also- their recumbents sat too low for my safety comfort zone...i looked around on the web for a few weeks and i stumbled onto this trike : www.atomiczombie.com/LodeRunner%20Single%20Rider%20Cargo%20Trike.aspx i bought the plans for 7 bucks and i had it built in about 5 weeks of spare time. that is just the base plan....mine is stretched an additional foot,is totally enclosed, has an ebike coversion kit, "swamp cooler" air conditioner, and a 40 watt car radio. it also set 4 inches higher..... you get the idea- simply sell the plan on your website...if there are parts that require machining have a local machine shop equipped with your specs . leave the rest to the plan buyer-just give the parts list and a step-by-step instructional manual or video. P.S. i like the steering- my handle bars are a pain in the backside to get in and out of

fill the pvc with foam....spray foam.....is light-weight and would give rigidness to the pvc

A lot of great features, here. Nice design. The seat springs seem to allow a lot of bounce. Have you tried stiffer springs and, if so, what was the result? With all suspension in the seat and with all the swing visible, how does it handle in turns and coming out of turns at speed? Does the swing of the seat make it difficult to control?

Lethal. In a frontal collision that tube goes right through your chest. This is why cars after 1945 had two u-joints in the steering column by law.

This is my second Amazon kids tablet purchase. kzbin.infoUgkxAPUD3wGXVz7iwFny2pBBqGomYxe_7J6U I bought my son his first when he was one and now that he is almost three we just upgraded to this version a couple of months ago. I love that you can control the age content, block certain apps and videos, and free storage space with apps that haven’t been used in a while. This tablet has assisted my son’s learning in so many ways. We love it!
