Just got mine in and it works great, love it. Had a plug in forget E-Z-Go model which was crap in my opinion and pretty much got so hot it burn itself up, this one has a fan which makes much more common sense. Thanks 👍

Does the modz 48 volt charger keep turning on and off during the charging cycle
@combsfan55 жыл бұрын
HI, i have a 2013 Club Car Precedent 48 volt with OBC that has the tow haul switch. Thinking of getting this charger for my cart to maintain my batteries which the cart is stored outside covered up here in the north east. My question is do i turn the tow haul switch to the tow or run mode when charging and when its in the winter storage . Also you said when it gets to 80% it starts to pulse to help clean the plates off inside correct.

Does this one have a fuse?

You say it works on a Club Car with a working obc...If the obc doesn't sense a charging cycle for a few days it will lock out the cart...How does the ModzMax get around this...

We have a EZGO cart SB50 dc connector from the charger. The end was worn so we got a new plug-in. Can you explain how to install this connector/plug?

My Club Car has an On Board Computer (OBC) Do I need to bypass this for this charger?
@jibboom21125 жыл бұрын
and, I'm pretty sure the OBC is bad because the charger won't shut down even though i've got 57+ volts during charge
@golfcartking5 жыл бұрын
@@jibboom2112 No, this is a plug and forget charger. It doesn't care if the car has an OBC or not! No bypass required!!

I had to bypass my 96 Club Car DS.

will this charge a completely dead battery?????
@tahcogunworks5 жыл бұрын
I'd like to know about how they charge. There are 4 steps to smartly charge a battery rather than just apply amps. Are these similar in logic to the accusense DPI chargers?
@golfcartking5 жыл бұрын
You are correct Tim, the MODZ MAX charger does have similar logic like DPI chargers but its designed to go a step further. It senses the batteries condition when first plugged in, then it starts the 15 amp constant charge but, when it hits 80% it starts a pulse charge to clean the battery plates off. Once the batteries are fully charged, the MODZ MAX charger continues to monitor the batteries state of charge. If the voltage drops, the charger comes back on and trickle charges them to maintain the correct voltage. We tried to think of everything when designing this charge, even saving out backs trying to lift it!

@@golfcartking Does it charge a club car DS with Lithium batteries?

I have a 2002 club car 48v it goes but it's like it wont open up it's very slow. I bought and replaced the MCOR but it didnt solve the problem. When its charged it reads 53v but 2 of my batteries read 8v then fall to 7.4 and 7.6? Any ideas.
@golfcartking5 жыл бұрын
Those 2 batteries are dragging the others down. Normally, 2 or more bad, replace the set.

@@GSCAutodetailing that's kind of unethical don't ya think? I've got 4 inverters that were out of warranty when they went out, could have done what you suggested, but my moral compass KNEW it was wrong, so I couldn't do that. Now have a total of 6, so I use them for parts.
