Yonaka would fail to reunite with her brother. Yes they could start a new life and stuff but Shinji would suffer psychological torment since he became a psychopath. The true ending is when Yonaka ends her brother's misery and stands by her "old" brother for his last few minutes of his life. Even if the Elopement ending sounds happy, there will always be a darker side that will forever follow until Yonaka dies. Also healthcare is a problem.

My theory: Ive watched the whole game play, all endings and read up on this so this is what i think theory is. Yonaka is a young high school girl (assuming about 15) who has experienced some terrible things which circle around her Oni-chan/Brother. In the flash backs during the game you see Yonaka in a different school uniform (Elementary maybe) showing she is younger and her Brother Shinya. Now Shinya always seems to be worrying or thinking about something and Yonaka being a cute little sister notices and tries to ease her brother, it is clear the two are very close but i think they got two close. I believe Shinya wasn't mentally stable and was having bad and evil thoughts about his sister and family. Its clear Yonaka has feelings for her brother, more than just a sisterly love and i believe Shinya caused that by taking their relationship to far(which Yonaka sorta hints in some flashbacks) and Yonaka being to young to understand thinks it's love. Now it shows that Yonaka misses and is looking for her brother so i think he run away at some point, maybe because his parents found out about what he did with Yonaka so fled full of rage and this could be what he was thinking about in the flash backs but slowly got worse and Yonaka saw his violent side. So Yonaka grows up and forgets, gets into high school and all that then hears that her Brother is coming home and everything comes back, her love for her Brother and happiness but also fear as she is now older and understands. The Mogeko world is a dream/hallucination which could be brought on by drugs, fear or just a childish dream but shows signs of Yonaka's feelings and situation around Shinya. The Mogeko's: they are attracted to Yonaka straight away and want to 'have fun' with her and take any chance to capture her and rape her, one less pervy Mogeko asks her to sleep with him which you can decide in game play and afterwards her student card goes from 'Female student' to 'Woman' (symbolizing when a girl loses her virginity she becomes a woman) this could related to Shinya taking their relationship to far with one side of Yonaka enjoying the 'sweet night' and the other being scared of doing that with her brother. Somewhat Strange Mogeko: Could be Yonaka's mental protection, he tells her where to go to get out/resolve things and gives her a knife to protect herself as she knows she is in danger because of her brother Moge-ko: Is Yonaka's representation of her Brother and his split personality, he can be sweet and fun but also evil and dangerous and in both personalities he and Moge-ko want Yonaka. King mogeko: As told by Defect Mogeko the king was lonely and created the castle and creatures in it and because of this i think he represents a more selfish Yonaka. After her brother ran away she was lonely and mentally scarred so created a world to soothe herself like the king. Defect Mogeko: He being the kindest character in the whole game is Yonaka's replacement for her brother, a person (or cat thing) who is kind to her and helps her, someone she can have compassion for like she did with her brother before he went crazy. The castle itself: There were dark and creepy parts but also beautiful parts in the castle similar to a mind and memories and Yonaka was going through that to get to an end and resolve stuff like you would when battling mental illness etc. So after the dream, which has shaken her and pushed her to an unstable point, she returns home to find her brother and dead parents. Shinya murdered their parents i believe out of anger and madness because they wouldnt let him have Yonaka in the way he wanted and when Yonaka comes home the first time she runs away in fear and he becomes mad so tries to kill her to keep her, similar to the Mogeko (moge-tan)at the start who says he'll destroy the castle and keep her corpse. Now obviously you can have the ending where Shinya stabs Yonaka or where she stabs him but if we go with the last one it is because Yonaka's mental stability has collapsed and she kills her brother to finally give him peace then she passes out. I believe she is put in a mental hospital and the last scene with Mogeko reading to her is acting her mind playing tricks while she is on drugs the doctor gave her

Before my literally long ass essay I’d like to warn(even though if these are your triggers maybe you shouldn’t be watching this gameplay?) about potential triggers in my writing such as the mention of rape, sexual abuse of minors, and violence. When it comes to the main story, ignoring all that’s happened in Mogeko castle and what not first(we can get to that later), I’m assuming it gets laid out like this. Bare with me all that's about to be said is just a theory of mine, ideas are always appreciated: Yonaka when she’s younger is super close to her older brother who, probably at first, keeps his ‘obsessed with little sister typical hentai fetish’ness to himself. She’s so adorable, and kind, and thoughtful, and always worrying about him. It most likely develops after that into a deeper relationship, she’s naïve and doesn’t understand but… big brother will surely ‘teach her’, right? Some of the flashbacks imply that eventually Yonaka does understand what’s happening, especially what happens to her that her own older brother does. Hence the flashback of ‘forgiveness’ when she still comforts him and tells him it’s okay, because…she loves her big brother, he would never mean her any harm, right? More than likely their parents eventually find out and he’s sent away, based on American standards it’s juvi but then again some plots don’t really consider these sorts of things. He’s sent away for a long time as she’s growing up and older, not necessarily forgetting, but out of sight out of mind right? Maybe the parents expected he had ‘grown out of his infatuation with her’ or he had ‘gotten better’, so they bring him back home. That, or his juvi time is over, or whatever other means. He returns home, only for when Yonaka comes home he’s murdered their parents because ‘I am the only one that can understand our love, Yonaka’. She KNOWS officially now that he’s a bad person, something is WRONG with him that cannot be fixed. So she has the option to accept his ‘craze’ and probably be enslaved or killed, or to defend herself with the knife granted to her. The false end relates to her not accepting she killed her brother, because she LOVED him, and he LOVED her, how could she do this to her big brother? So she falls into her own mind, Mogeko Castle, becomes its new ruler and creates her own rules and delves deep into her imagination. The ‘happy ending’ is when her brother forgives her and realizes his wrong doings, and she’s content because of this forgiveness. In the end no matter what with either endings, she can’t find ‘peace’ without her brother forgiving her, whether she is in the right or not. Now, with Mogeko Castle. More than likely since she was a lot younger when her older bro started fooling around with her, he would use ‘toys’ and ‘stuffed animals’, typical generic little girl things to distract her while he did things. Hence why these creepy rapist dolls were stuffed animals, perverted and after her. An even darker idea is that she didn’t consider her brother doing the perverted violent actions, if he did it from behind and made her stare at these toys instead, which would be another reason why they seem like the bad guys and even knowing what her brother had done she still sought him out. The idea that they’re obsessed with specific types of foods, specific types of age groups when it comes to girls(highschoolers), and specific appearances and looks, makes it obvious that this is all because it related to Yonaka’s brother somehow. His favorite foods were probably all these things that they ate(and worshipped), and obviously we know his favorite age range for girls was ‘young, naïve, sisterly’. **Moge-ko:** A sex doll or her brothers girlfriend that Yonaka always saw around, always trying to get his attention but would barely get it because he was so obsessed with his little sister. Maybe through that she got jealous of Yonaka and would then obsess with hurting her or trying to fight her. In this imaginary world, she’s a violent and cruel person who wants what she wants and will hurt and kill to get it, obsessed with Yonaka and trying to ‘play’ with her via stabby stabby. In the real world, wants to kill her because she hogs her ‘boyfriends’ attention. But like I said, if not that, maybe she would catch her older brother with a ‘female doll’ in his room… the only reason the ‘sex doll’ seems out of the blue is because in the secret room at the end of the game where you can read profiles and what not, under Moge-ko’s profile it reads that she was literally a ‘creation of the Mogeko’s’. That means they got tired of trying to lure highschool girls in for a long while, and started building their own-only for her to be a mistake/massacre and they all regretted it lol. Yonaka’s older brother, maybe even at the start, might have had trouble convincing Yonaka to willingly start an intimate relationship with him. So he might have decided to TRY and move on by getting a girlfriend at school, or… building his own girlfriend. Real girls clinginess and neediness to have his attention and pull him away from Yonaka made him regret his decision of dating people his age… sex dolls inanimate compliance and of course, just not being Yonaka, made him regret his decision of making a sex doll. **King mogeko** to me doesn’t seem to represent much other than yes, he is the true ruler/owner of Mogeko Castle, its creator, blah blah… but even he bows down before Moge-ko so to me his existence doesn’t seem… to answer any questions or make me go ‘EUREKA!’ when I would look at his actions, texts and responses to other characters in the game. If you guys have any thoughts, let me know though on what/who he might represent. The guardians of each floor, the 7 spirits, such as Hasu, The Blood Spirit, etc. to me their personalities might not’ve mattered all too much. I was more focused on them technically being ‘guides’ or ‘guardians’ that would in a sense protect Yonaka or lead her towards an escape. Some of them, like Moffuru, would go out of their way to protect Yonaka, especially like Nega Mogeko who was with her for most of her journey and fought for her livelihood until the very end-him being an obvious symbol of the two sides of this ‘hentai fetish’, one being to take someone and ‘destroy them sexually’ while the other being to ‘love and cherish someone’. But in the real world I can assume these ‘guardians’ related to people in her life that tried to protect her from not just this bad world surrounding her as she grew up, and soon enough grew up without her brother, but so long as ‘it was what she wanted’ they were even willing to guide her to her brother. Nega Mogeko wanted nothing more than her happiness, and definitely showed a deeper form of love than anyone else in the castle, or even her own brother, had ever shown. It’s why her relationship with him was more deep, and when he died him being lost stung so bad. In the real world, he could have been a best friend of hers, could have been maybe even a relative or parent, maybe even a friend from school who has an obvious crush on her but would put her happiness over his love, who knows? And that ends my little essay thanks for reading

I swear, Mogeko Castle got some of the most fucked up bad endings I've seen in a horror game. So you have one ending were you get raped to death by hundreds of yellow cat-looking beasts. One where you become some sort of incubator for their babys. One when you're literally devoured alive by hundreds crazy of them. A ending were you become the sex-toy of an even more crazy girl (after killing your friend). And even a ending were you're savagely murdered by your own brother, after he seemly killed the rest of your family. I can't decide what is the worst way to end...

_No real spoilers, coz everyone's see the game... just theory of mine_ ^w^ It was an interesting experience to watch just the endings. I was more repulsed & saddened by the violence of the bad ends. At the same time, I felt oddly more immune to the violence. It became more like part of a sad surreal nightmare of a broken mind. My own theory about the game is: What if Yonaka just dreamed her own "grim Grimm" fairy tale? The good, the bad, her brother's actions, the castle, everything. I'm reminded of fairytales & the often horrific ends for the little girls & boys in them. Would explain all of the characters being shown in the sequel, but it is more than that. Think of a Mogeko as a little stuffed toy by a little girl's bed that takes on frightening proportions in the middle of a dark night... like the scary shadows you see on the wall from your teddy bear in his chair or your rocking horse. All the fears of childhood - loss of your family, toys coming to life to chase & hurt you, even another girl who could be a friend being violent towards you & bullying you. All unfortunately common themes in children's nightmares. Then, Yonaka's love & trust of her hero Defect Mogeko makes even more sense. Because wasn't it your toy elephant with the missing ear that you cuddled the most? (It was cuddling it that probably loosened the stitches in the first place!) He was my best friend that I dragged everywhere. I thought he would always be with me forever & I loved him. Anyway, that's sorta my theory, but I'm usually wrong... :) ManlyBadassHero Your summary including cultural references & tie-ins to other games was greatly appreciated! NaturalFlirtGamer Actually, it all happened. It takes place in the "Obsolete Dream" universe that ALL of Mogeko's Works take place in. These include the Gray Garden, Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea, and the upcoming Carnival Rhythm (Speculated to be closely tied to Mogeko castle, due to similar premises and the fact it's darker than all the other games) and Mogeko Castle Gaiden, which means officially, the Lord Prosciutto end is canon. King mogeko is presumably a God, with Nega-Mogeko as his Devil. If you kill a god or devil, you gain their powers... as Yonaka did in the canon ending.

I appreciated the comparison of the two sides of otaku culture. One respecting and protecting moe versus the other sexualizing it. _Moe_ _Moge_ It would be great if all us mogekos who are otaku and non-otaku could find the middle ground with our partners. We should but often don't mix respect and desire well. Even the hero Defect Mogeko didn't rise to that perfection. He was content to love the girl but never _love_ the girl. ManlyBadassHero I'll agree with you. Exiled Mogekos problems just get worse on their own. Some solve it by staying out of society and cower in fear. Some turn vicious and align themselves with regular Mogekos because they seem to be more powerful. Others lurk and grumble on internet boards just to stir the pot of aggression against high school girls. Defect Mogeko battled other Mogekos and his own inner demons and emerged a better Mogeko. Mmm unpopular opinion, but I really think Mogeko Castle happened in all its entirety. Sure, the speculation about how the story is metaphor about what her brother was doing to her makes sense if it was just a drug-induced dream. But, Yonaka still had the blood on her hands. It legit just seems like a total fever dream world period. Also, Shinny boy was more like a plotwist final boss than the bigger cause for Yonaka’s adventure. There’s barely any info on him apart from the fact that he got stabby happy because of something in his past. Could take that to mean severe mental illness or.. well it looked like possession tbh. I more see him painted as a serial killer and bloody knife than a sex offender. Then again, my opinion. The main threat all throughout were the mogekos. Not even Moge-ko herself was the final boss. It started with moge and ended with moge. It’s all moge now.

I think the bedroom ending means is that he "plays" with Yonakas dead body after he kills her. The mogeko represents her brother in denial with Yonaka's corpse after he killed her as he does the "fun" with her dead body. As it says "Oh you can't hear me" or "you get to sleep happy", and the most damming evidence "sleep your life away with all that relief Yonaka" which I think is referring to her being dead and says that he can "play" with her. As I think that her brother is mentality unstable, which leads him to kill people. He is in love with Yonaka. The whole game is about Yonaka's PTSD. Or the bedroom ending could be Yonka being to innocent as a child to know what her brother is doing to her.

The Mogeko in the bonus room told you that you keep all the items you collected if you leave the room and restart the game.. but what do you need them for? The items were for fun. You don't need them but you can keep them. Its a joke for all the game completionists and OCD players who want to get _all the items_ in any game. Moge-ko and all the Mogekos seemed to know what was going on outside the castle.

I really enjoyed watching this! purely speculative (and probably super inaccurate lol), but this whole game makes much more sense to me if one think it of as more metaphorical than at surface level. At the start of the game, she wanted to get away from Shinyas grip and took the bus away to escape. And such, she actually /does/ get away - through retreating inside her own mind that is, as a defensive mechanism. Isnt it curious how she so easily is accepted as lord of the proscuittos? It makes a whole lot more if its inside her own imagination. Everything at Mogeko Castle is a manifestation of her imagination, and all the characters there are part of her or parts of her brothers personality. Everything happening here is for helping her cope through her experiences. Throughout the game, Yonaka gets face to face with her trauma in physical form - as mogekos, as Moge-Ko and finally the Mogeko King. If i would guess, perhaps these are all aspects of shinya that she fears. First, the iconic mogekos. I know theres some speculating that its very processed sexual abuse trauma, and that could be it. At first i thought that was inaccurate, but the true ending more or less isnt Yonaka actually confronting Shinya with her thoughts, instead she just embraces his weak apology. After that, she ends up in king mogekos bed. King Mogekos still the same sinister person, so clearly whatever happened with Shinya and her never solved her dilemma. Its got the "i killed my abuser but still, why dont i feel satisfied?" vibe to it. If its sexual abuse that Yonaka never had the courage to confront, it makes more sense why this entire situation would haunt her to the level of taking "meds." For me, i interpreted the proscuitto ending as her giving up on finding reason for his behavior after he killed him, and instead retreats inside herself to protect herself from everything. Through becoming king of the castle, she can assert control again - but at which price? At the price of losing "her humanity" that is. Perhaps Yonaka even developed the same personality as her brother after that. Moge-ko could be the rage and the bloodthirstyness shes experienced from him, since he clearly went around and killed people. And Yonaka feared him despite her love for him. Theres no way guy isnt unstable (or perhaps unhinged/has sane moments?). King Mogeko could reflect the authority he had in her life, since they were so codependant. King mogeko had a lonely past, something that perhaps Shinya shared and Yonaka wanted to "heal". King mogeko seemed to value absolutism, and punished Defected Mogeko harshly for disobeying. That could be another way of portraying his influence on her. Im basing this by how he said in the beginning that yonaka would be "his". Defected Mogeko could be a reflection of Yonakas own feelings about the position shes in. Yonaka clearly fears Shinyas actions, and she has doubted him to the level she left home. In a similar manner, this mogeko has defected. Defected mogeko could be her inner naivety, her hope, the part that wants to escape the situation and survive despite knowing how dire it is. In the end, she gains this new hope but through painful means. I might be very selfindulgent and super wrong, and this could be the metatastic 2channel parody of otaku culture instead, but i find interest in abuse narratives and wanted to share my thoughts on it. For me though, rather than a "solution" mogeko castle rather focuses on the consequences and damage of a relationship of that caliber.

I like how everyone likes happy ending more than true ending, I like the way Mogeko works, Mogeko know the messed up of the story and Mokego settles the ending of the stories well and I loooveee it. Well...Yonaka and Shinya's parents hated them both ever since they were born. Since Shinya was a first child, he had to put up through abuse for much longer than Yonaka who was a second child. He is actually very sweet,tender, and loving towards Yonaka like any good brother and sister. Yonaka views Shinya as the only person that loves her which is why she doesn't mind if he stabs her. She didn't resist, she didn't fight, she just let it happen.
